Location. The Sofitel Cannes Le Mediterranee is a sea front hotel built in 1930, located opposite the Old Port and Midi Beach overlooking the Esterel Mountains. It is 500 metres from La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals. Nice International Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes. Hotel Features. Decked with potted palms and offering panoramic views of the Bay of Cannes the hotel's roof top sun terrace is the perfect place to relax on sun beds, and there is also an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the sea and featuring a poolside bar. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and room service can be ordered round the clock. Other amenities include dry cleaning services, safe deposit boxes, currency exchange, and valet parking at a cost of 22 EUR per day.The hotel has a stylish restaurant on the seventh floor of the hotel offering panoramic views of the city and a roof top terrace overlooking the Bay of Cannes.     The hotel is located just perfectly within a short walk from the congress center.

    Nice but tired Staff were friendly and welcoming, but rooms were tiny and although clean, need refurbishing. The breakfast was basic, and the staff in the bistro for an evening meal were less than attentive.

    Everything was lovely really enjoyed it, but the room was tiny could hardly walk round the bed. Felt very cramped and there was a balcony but was so small could'nt get onto it, which wa s shame as it would have been lovely to sit out there as the room had a lovely position (which we had to pay for but couldnt really enjoy0 The only other thing was there was a limited amount of beds by the pool and the pool attendant reserved them for people, sometimes they were empty all day and we had no where to lay.

    + Close to the beach and to the center of the city. Very good breakfast. - Not comfortable beds. Not very nice smell in the bathroom. The hotel doesn't have its own equipped beach.

    Would recommend Ideal location, lovely views out over Cannes, service very good and clean! Could not eat in the restaurant however as they did not, and would not, serve vegetarian food. But otherwise not disappointed!

    Good location but very average room and service The hotel is in an excellent position in Cannes and well situated for the town and beach. The room was disappointing, being very small for two people with a poor standard of decoration. Several items were not working correctly and took sometime to repair. The room was clean enough, but we had to constantly remind staff to provide coffee, towels etc. We ate once in the ground floor retaurant and the service was very poor. The staff at reception were excellent.

    + Free upgrade to seaview room was a bonus, room was comfortable and better location than the more prestigeous hotels available. - The hotel doesn't have its own equipped beach.
