Welcoming A quite simple hotel. We stayed in a superior room but found it a little bit `bare' though very clean and comfortable enough. Evidence of refurb work might suggest that there will be improvements on that score (albeit that the `evidence' included getting paint on my coat!) The staff were polite, welcoming and friendly, check in was smooth and speedy and check out quite fast too. All in all, maybe not a hotel to rave about but one which is a good solid 3-star, well-situated with very good staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Recommended! Spent five nights here at the end of April and was very impressed with the decor, atmosphere, and quality of service. The staff were friendly, breakfasts very good, and, above all, it is a quiet hotel in a very nice street. I would definitely recommend it.

+ The hotel feels very cosy, the rooms are in excellent condition and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The public areas are great for relaxing. We will definitively stay there again on our next visit to Biarritz. - Zeer slecht, het stonk er.

+ Pleasant staff - very small room, difficult to get into double bed from one side. Lighthouse beam disturbing during night.

The hotel was great - the staff were friendly, the room was spotless, the bathroom was brand new and the living room (with big flat screen TV)and breakfast room/terrace are fab. It is a bit of a walk from the beach (10-12 mins) compared to a lot of other places but very close to the trendy Les Halles area for great restaurants away from the regular touristy places closer to the beach. Overall, loved it and will defintiely go back.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of October 2007. The staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, polite, answered all our questions and recommended very nice restaurants to eat at night. The breakfast room was lovely with a good choice of breads and friut. There was also a lounge with magazines, newspapers and a large TV. The overall ambience and old style of the hotel was wonderful. While wireless internet was available it would have been useful for those of us who prefer not to carry a laptop, to have been able to log onto a PC and have use of a printer. This facility was not available. (There is however room for a PC/laptop/printer under the stairs , in front of the reception desk - should the owners see fit to provide one). That said, we would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was a delight. A beautifully restored house, which was light and bright. Very close to the main town and seafront. The service was friendly and helpful. I was glad that I chose this hotel as it contributed to the enjoyment of my holiday
