Well, what can I say about this hotel? Hmmm, the right words to do this place justice, well here goes: The room resembled the spare room in a crack den, and I was nearly electricuted by an exploding, badly wired light fitting. The room had no fan or air conditioning aside from a window that opened onto a scenic view of the kitchen. The window had to be left open at nights to minimise the risk of us spontaneously combusting due to the heat. Sleep was nigh on impossible due to the melodic, soothing sounds of shouting and crashing from the hotel kitchens, and the delightful melodies of flushing toilets from around the hotel into the sceptic tank by our window. At one point I was seriously considering sleeping in the hire car, this option was denied to me in the second week when one of the fine upstanding locals stole it. The woman on the reception desk (who I believe was one of the owners) was probably one of the surliest hotel receptionists I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She seemed to resent our presence in the hotel, I think she must have skipped the manners lessons at school. The hotels breakfast time was rather expensive, it worked out over A#5 for a bowl of mouldy cereal and a cup of tea! We only ate there once. On a positive note the Boulangerie across the road was very nice, the Pain Au Chocolates were especially good and the lady was very nice, I wish we could have stayed there instead.

I am not satisfied with this hotel. It is far from the beach. It is very noisy and uncomfortable. The lavatory bowl and the shower are old and disagreable. The staff are not very kind. The only plus - free parking on the street near the hotel.

The hotel is close to the town centre and only a 10 minute walk from the beach. The room equipment was not good, however - the telephone in our room was very old and the mouthpiece was broken. When we reported the fault the hotel staff directed us to a pay phone out in the street.
