Savoy Hotel Prague
Keplerova Ul 6 - C-11800 Prague
For sheer style with more than a touch of luxury, the Hotel Savoy is the best address in Prague. Elegant decor, reminiscent of a bygone age of Imperial grandeur, is combined with a high standard of personal service and attention to detail. This elusive combination has earned the hotel a reputation of which it is justifiably proud. Add to this the ideal location near the Castle and you have all the ingredients for a perfect Prague city break. Perhaps the hotel's best attribute is its perfect location. Just steps away from the Savoy in this chic neighborhood in the heart of historical Prague, is the Prague Castle with its famous St. Vitus Cathedral, and Strahov Monastery. A pleasant stroll along the Petrin hill with the breathtaking view of Prague will take you to the Lesser Town with the magnificent Church of St. Nicholas and Kampa – a charming district known as Prague Venice. From here it is only a few minute walk to the medieval Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. It is easy to get to bustling shopping and entertainment areas that offer travelers unique boutiques, lively cafés and the cozy ambience of one of Europe's most beloved cities. The perfect evening begins or ends in the Lobby Bar, a traditional meeting spot for prominent artists, business leaders and Prague´s cultural elite. The connoisseurs will certainly appreciate the wide range of cigars and cognacs dominated by Hennessy Richard. The Restaurant Hradcany in the Hotel Savoy has distinguished itself among Prague's gourmets as a leader in innovative and exciting cuisine. Only the freshest ingredients, often imported from around the world, are used in creating both international dishes and hearty, traditional Czech meals. The ambience of the Restaurant Hradèany is grand and imperial. The service is friendly, attentive and personal. At the touch of a button, the glass cupola glides open and the windows silently sink into the floor. The restaurant is instantly transformed into a light and airy garden restaurant making it the perfect setting for any gourmet dish. All spacious rooms and suites are warmly decorated in schemes of bordeaux, royal blue and honey yellow. The Savoy offers 55 luxuriously appointed Deluxe and Executive rooms and 4 Junior Suites. The Savoy Suite and the grand Presidential Suite feature large terraces with a commanding view over the red rooftops of the Hradèany district and Prague Castle. Enjoy your afternoon tea and your copy of Wall Street Journal or browse through a fine selection of books including Encyclopaedia Britannica in the Library with an open fire-place - an oasis of calmness in the hectic rush of modern living. The best way to unwind after a long day of business and sightseeing is to enjoy the use of the “Relax Center”. Here the tired guest may heal both body and soul with a quick work out in the fitness room followed by lounging with the Jacuzzi, sauna or steam room. The professional masseuse will knead away the cares and stresses of the day. The Savoy has a professional hairstylist as well as beauty salon.

Excellent stay The trams no.s 23 and 22 will get you to the town and back make sure you get a ticket prior to boarding. some hotels supply them, or you can get them from the metro station. This Hotel is a short down hill walk to the Castle and 15mins to Charles bridge. Be warned the climb back up the hill is really hard work. the Hotel is in a quiet area away from the centre.

Greatly Impressed The hotel is slightly outside of the old town center but can be reached by a walk - recommended on the first occasion as you can pass by the castle and the lesser quarter which is well worth seeing! There is a tram stop outside the door and stops at the nearest metro which will bring you anywhere in the center. The rooms are very warm (good in winter) with very comfortable beds. They are turned down each morning and late afternoon. Breakfast was varied in choice - something for everyone and availble free of charge for room service. The people working there were very friendly - they even booked our taxi for the airport - all in all a lovely place to stay.

This is not a 5 star hotel. It's an 'OK' 4 star. We dined at Kampa Park and Belle Vue - both great. (Both were recommeded by the hotel concierge.) Good food, good service and good locations. For lunch I would recommend an Italian - Ambiente, just off Wencelas Square. Walk out of the square with Svarowski (the glass store)on your left. Keep walking about 50 metres and Ambiente is on your left. The beef canelloni is great!

A quality place to stay Go back a few streets from the main tourist traps to save a few Korona's on food and drink. There are plenty of eateries to chose from.

Would go back Make sure you get a taxi from the clearly marked 'Fair Place' around the city. We got ripped off a few times by getting random taxis. The drivers dont seem to speak much english either when you go to complain. Unsure if they just pretend they dont understand you or not.

Excellent Hotel in All Respects Hotel in quieter part of Prague near to Prague Castle but we found the restaurants around that area to be better and not too overcrowded. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and we would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in going to Prague.
