Praga 1 was a definite winner for our party that stayed there. Take time to study the tram ticket dispensing machines before you go ahead with your purchase, they can be a little confusing listing a number of different tariffs relative to your time of travel. You really need to know where you are travelling to and how long it will take you to get there before you purchase your ticket. We found the staff at the hotel very helpful for directions and the tram numbers, and the locals were very helpful too, with a large majority of them speaking good English.

Hotel Praga1 Fancy a beer? Buy it away from the main squares! You can buy them for around 29kr (just over a 1GBP) as opposed to 98kr or higher(roughly 4GBP)! Also be wary of pretzels, nuts, or bread that placed at your table when you have a meal - these are chargeable.

A fine refuge Prague is like St. Marks square in Venice or Disney World. Very crowded with tourists. Go out walking at night when the crowds are gone. Yes, the castle stays open.
