Perfect for a short stay, would stay there again! Great location, approx 5 mins walk from Wencelas Square. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is basic but for us it was just what we needed - comfy beds, shower/bath and a toilet, we also had a fridge which came in handy. The lift is a bit rickety but it does it's job and I was grateful for it after a long day of walking. The breakfast (which is included) at U Vavru (cafe around the corner from hotel) was very nice as well. I'd definately stay there again if I go back to Prague.

cheap price a good location and reliable service I only stayed in this hotel for one night but for the money paid i was impressed by the size and space of the rooms. The hotel i found to be clean and the staff friendly and offering advice on places to see etc givingme a free map. The breakfast is not in the hotel but instead you are given a voucher and asked to walk outside the hotel to pub/restaurant close by which will serve you breakfast. Expect the food to be very basic given the price. I have stayed in Prague many times, this is not a luxury hotel but if you are on a budget, want something close to the centre and recognise you cant be dependent on the breakfast for a wholesome meal then you will find this place reliable... but remember i only stayed one day/night!

Service Lacks, but room was great! The staff at the hotel, especially the night staff was really un-organised. Despite that, once we finally got our room it was in great condition. I would stay there again despite the service shortfalls. The location is fantastic if you want to discover "real Prague" Namesti Miru area is way better and cheaper than the touristy old town. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Go out drinking and eating in this area rather than old town. You will pay what the czechs pay rather than the jacked up prices in Old Town.

Amazing value, beautiful city! Whilst there always are plenty of live orchestral music concerts taking place in Prague, make sure to check the full details of where exactly the concert is taking place - especially with venues such as the Municipal House which actually have several halls within them (some of which are rather small and bland compared to the main one).

Pension 44 Dirty hotel with absolutely no redeeming features, room not cleaned for 4 days, beds left unmade, hotel in a general state of disrepair. Would not stay here again even if it was free.

Good value central hotel Fairly basic hotel, very well placed for Wenceslas Square, main rail station & metro. Good buffet breakfast (included) in nearby restaurant.

Basic, but well located Try the 'Beer Factory' pub. Tables have their own beers taps so you can pour your own brew!!

Budget hotel, close enough to centre of Prague Hotel is about ten mins walk from top of wenceslas square by the museum, far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep. The room was very sparse, bed, fridge & a table however very clean. Bathroom also very clean. All in all-as per my expectations, the hotel was ideal for my two day trip.

Value for money but bare Pension 44 is a good low-cost base from which to see Prague by foot or the Metro which is very close. Don't take the airport shuttle as staff are happy to give you clear instructions on getting there by public transport at 5% of the cost. Generally in Prague if you are able to walk one or two kilometers outside the prime tourist areas prices are a third to half for everything.
