Very central location but expensive There are bars just around the corner down the alleyway that are very good value especially for drinks & snacks

Despite the hotel's attractive lobby, the rooms were bland but functional. The bathroom showed it's age (ancient) and the shower curtain was yellowed and torn. The room was clean but lacked charm /character and the view was awful (no natural light). The hotel staff (with the exception of the concierge) were rude and obnoxious (particularly the breakfast floor chief) and the food wasn't great. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's not looking for a "package" hotel where all the clients have just stepped off the ExpressBus from Disneyland Paris (white pants, fanny packs and all). Even the hotel's chauffeur told us "the palace used to be nice, but it needs a facelift." Couldn't agree more.

Excellent service and a beautifully appointed hotel. The breakfasts are outstanding, and the overall service was top-notch. The only drawbacks were the somewhat run-down neighborhood, although the hotel is only a block or two from better areas, and the fa

Excellent Friendly Service The small but very moving museum of resistance in the Church of SS Cyril and Methodius at Resslova 9 is well worth searching out.

I travel alone. I take short excursions when on business in Europe. So this trip, I went to Prague and discovered this gem in the middle of EVERYTHING. You are perfectly, and I mean perfectly, center to everything you want to see in Prague. Down the block from the Wencesclas Square, and around the corner from the Old Town and Jewish Quarter. Tours start around the corner as well. This hotel is first class with slippers, bath robes and bath beads to soak in after a long day of touring. Enjoy the large plate of cookies you get in your room on arrival and the breakfast buffet is unique to Czech Rep. and delicious. I can't recommend this place enough and I recommended it to a colleague of mine who talks about it to this day. You WILL NOT be disappointed...no doubt about it. Wish I was there now.

Good Position -fantastic breakfast but a bit bland Prague Castle is a tourist trap and the Royal Palace was closed so you end up with huge crowds paying to see souvenir shops. Why not try the Klementium guided tour of the 300 year old Baroque library and Astronomical tower, much more interesting or even the National Gallery - slightly out of the centre but well worth it.

Highly recommend this hotel The Kolkovna pub near the Old Town Square serves fantastic Czech food and beer - I would highly recommend for lunch. We also ate in the ground floor cafe of the Municipal House which is one of the most spectacularly designed and decorated cafes I have seen. The food is tourist fare but reasonably priced and OK but it's the experience that makes it.
