Very close to great areas The hotel is in a great location - close to some awesome sites. The tall ceilings in the room make the rooms feel really large. WIFI is extremely expensive, so you'll be fighting with the other guests for the one public computer they have available. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Good Location BUT noisy external building work from 07:00 Good Location BUT noisy external building work from 07:00 - not very satisfactory to be woken at 07:00 every day when on holiday(including Sunday). The Mecure (and other hotels) should negotiate with the City Authorities and builder to have the work start at least an hour later.

Very pleasant atmosphere, perfect location, very competent staff - who also arranged reliable long-distance taxi services. I would certainly make the Mercure my first choice when visiting Prague.

Enjoyable Clean, tidy and in a great location only 10minutes walk form the old town square. The bar staff were fantastic! Pity about the unhelpful, arrogant staff at the reception. Had a few problems with our room cards not working, and only enough for a cup of coffee every 2 days. But was nice overall.

Good location Hotel was in a good location to explore prague, thought it was more 3* than a 4* hotel. Staff were good, but when we asked one lady did the metro & bus run to airport in early morning (6am) she was reluctant to tell us & pushed us to booking us a taxi for 27 euro when metro & bus was 3 euro, in the end another member of staff told us the metro & bus did run then. Other than that it was a good hotel.

Disappointing Hotel Prague is a wonderful city, but it has two problems: pickpockets and unscrupulous taxi drivers. Cling tightly to your wallet or purse when among groups of tourists on Charles Bridge and elsewhere, and use the inexpensive metro/tram/bus system instead of taxis.
