My favourite hotel in Prague Having stayed here many times, I would highly recommend it. It isn't the cheapest hotel available but is 5 star and always great service. It is is in a great location just 5 mins walk from the old town square. Also worth noting that it has an indoor pool and decent gym(free use for guests).

Love this hotel Try out the World Gym in the basement. It has weights machines, free weights, running and cross training machines and a complete cyclying studio.... and it's free if you're staying at the hotel of course.

OK, I wrote a review of this hotel 2 years ago, and I loved it. Perhaps exposure to more hotels has given me a better view on things. Once again I stayed in an executive level room, actually the same room as 2 years ago. Upon arrival, there is plenty of room to park and unload. The bellhops are top-notch, almost sprinting out to help you with your luggage or valet park your car. Reception staff is good as ever, and the lobby is exactly as I remember. The room is also as I remember, big, bright and clean. Business lounge had a renovation, sacrificing some PC's for a new lounge area, still very nice (only 2 PC's though). The biggest differences are the fact that broadband internet access costs more for a day than I pay for a month of super-fast access at home. Oh, and if you want the really fast connection in the room, plan on paying even more. Breakfast is not included in the price (was last time). Now I am not picky, but if you paid what I paid for this room (executive level, more than 250 Euro a night), you'd probably expect them to suck it up a bit and throw in the internet access and breakfast for free. Nope, not here. I have stayed in many hotels not nearly as nice or as expensive as this and had them both for free, or at least included in the price. Don't get me wrong, this place is THE best in terms of service, cleanliness, location, staff, and everything else. Apparently capitalism has firmly taken root here because if you want the best of the best, you're gonna pay for it. Perhaps next time I will try the Renaissance (also by Mariott) across the street, which is a bit less expensive, and see how that works out. Stay tuned for more updates next year.

The hotel is first class quality, the prices of $300.00 ++ per night are just too high for the type of hotel, even in Praque, not even New York would charge that.

We learned quickly that this hotel COMMONLY overbooks their rooms on a regular basis. If you arrive in the evening you will probably not get your room. They will try to send you to another Marriott owned less valued hotel. It happened to us, as well as others repeatedly during our stay. On several occasions we notified this hotel of our late arrival. We arrived at midnight after a 2 day non-stop journey trying to get to Prague from the US that was plagued with problems. When we arrived the Night Mgr (Martina) told us "Sorry, nothing I can do. I overbook and gave your room away". She looked at me in the face and didn't answer when I asked if she would have charged my credit card if I didn't show up. Unlike most, I called back to the U.S. to Marriott Rewards Customer service using my cell at $2.79/min insisting they do something. 35 minutes later, we agreed on them to put us up in the Marriott Apartments (2 miles away) free, pay for roundtrip transportation when our room was avilable the next day, pay for a free dinner, AND upgraded us to the presidential suite for the remainder of our stay. So be calm, rational, and PERSISTANT or you will get what others we spoke to at the hotel received: The Courtyard Marriot 5 miles away, you have to pay for the room, you pay for a taxi to/from the hotel until the Marriott has a room ready, no free dinner, and no free upgrade. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Good location. The rest of the staff was fine. Free wifi internet in the bar only.
