Le Palais Hotel Prague

Le Palais Hotel Prague

U Zvonarky 1 - CZ-120 00 Prague

Come to Prague and experience one of the most beautiful examples of Belle Époque architecture in Central Europe.Together with the Hotel Savoy and the Hotel Palace, the new Hotel Le Palais is now the third luxury hotel which is operated by Vienna International Hotels & Resorts in Prague.Constructed in 1841 the original residential building was completely redesigned in the Belle Époque style between 1888 and 1897. Something deliberately 'different and of greater beauty' was to be created which would differ greatly from the imitated historicism of the art and architecture of the 19th century. Characteristic of that period and its style is the rebirth of a zest for life, of optimism and confidence - a 'new renaissance'.Ludek Marold (1865 - 1898) is one of the best-known Bohemian painters. He was not only responsible for the artistic design of the building, he also lived on the top floor until 1898. His most famous work, the remarkable panorama 'The Battle of Lipany', can also be seen in Prague in Petrin Labyrinth. The historically accurate restoration of the original structure and the gentle weave of modern elements generate an unequalled ambience. Large parts of the building were created by the Bohemian painter Ludek Marold and are therefore classified as historical monuments. The elegant and graceful lightness of the Prague Belle Époque style lends a unique atmosphere to the rooms and suites of the Hotel Le Palais and will make your stay a very special experience. The hotel is a real treasure for sophisticated business and leisure travellers, for them to enjoy this delightful gem of 19th century architecture with its peaceful yet central location and to discover Prague at its best. Take in the view over the Nusle Valley from our peaceful open terrace. Enjoy our finest, deliciously tempting dishes and the best service, together with beautiful views of Prague. Breakfast served on the open air terrace is an enjoyable way to start your day. Our relax and wellness center is one of the best equipped centers in Prague. Hotel guests are free to use sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, aroma showers, steam bath, solarium, hydrojet. There is fully equipped gym for those wishing to work out while the aroma showers, with their lemon and eucalyptus fragrances, and whirlpool are a perfect way to relax after a long day.

This place is the best The transport via the hotel cab is quite expensive. Around 30 dollars to go to the old town. Get a tram ticket from the front desk. Walk down the street and catch the 22 or 23 tram and it will take you to the old town and castle and you will still have money left for a grand lunch. We found the trams safe, faster than taxi because they avoid the traffic.

Little Gem Several restaurants in the City ave incredible fixed price menus of the day which are excellent value and of good quality. Excellent way to sample different restaurants with low cost risk.

Exceptional quality U modre Kachnicky or 'The Blue Duckling' offers excellent food in a cosy setting on a quiet side street. We ate venison on black truffles with pear as a starter and then shared a selection of duck, rabbit, ham and lamb - all rich and very well cooked. A lovely meal.

The hotel was very comfortable and the service was everything we could want. We cannot adequately paise the attention we had from the staff. The only problem was that the heating was not running as it was summertime, so the airconditioning was cold only.
