the worse thing about the hotel was the tasteless and rather pornographic artwork which was all over the hotel. it was all done by the guy who draws alien pictures and it was scary and distasteful. the other problem was huge furniture in a small room you could hardly get round the bed. it is not near the charles square. it is 3/4 tram stops away and itis next to a railway line. sio can be noisy. we were lucky as we were given a room at the back. there is no way you can see the castle or anything nice.

A Gem in Prague Nearby restaurants served great food at reasonable prices. The garden restaurant at the old castle was wonderful at night and you could stroll around the park, church and cemetery after dinner. We had no problems with staff speaking English and found the Czechs gracious and caring people.

King Charles Boutique Hotel Food and drink in the area near the hotel is significantly cheaper (50- 60% lower) and of a higher quality than in the city centre. The pub on the corner of the street and the restaurant up the hill at the side of the hotel are both excellent and very convenient (just a couple of minutes walk)

Friendly & Atmospheric Hotel We had a fantastic huge slab of roasted pork ribs in Restaurant Cafe U Tyna. Not only was this a massive helping of traditional local food, but very reasonable value - especially given an unbeatable position looking out on the old Town Hall and Old Town Square.

Good Hotel The Hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable, very closed to the tram stop too. The only thing is that one my first day at the Hotel there was not hot water to take a shower, so I had to take a cold shower.(I think this is not acceptable in a 4 star Hotel).

Great experience If you are staying at this hotel or at any other in Prague's downtown, call them before to get directions of how to get there using public transportation, which is very efficient and safe. Avoid taxis from the train station at any cost, they will most likely charge you astronomic fees and try to fool you with distances and the exchange rate. Don't trust those guys, go for public transportation.

Lovely hotel, gorgeous furnishings, very friendly staff and close to some low cost bars serving gorgeous food. Recommend the nearest bar, just 20 metres away. The breakfast is a letdown, but don't let this stop you booking! Easy access to all of Prague with Albertov tram stop just across the road, you can get around for peanuts! Be aware, you may end up with two twin beds pushed together as opposed to a double.

Nice hotel Get the 119 bus from the airport to Dejvice (last stop) and then the underground (Green line A) to Muzeum change to line C and get off at Vysehrad. It costs around 50Kr compared to 800-900kr in a taxi.

Great experience Great experience, the hotel is amazing, in a really nice and quiet area. Front desk personnel are very friendly and will do anything to help you. Breakfast was great and there is a really really good restaurant on the back street of the hotel. It is very well connected to the city’s downtown (through a tram, personnel in the hotel will give you all the details), and it’s next to a really beautiful castle. The value you get for your money is great. If I’m ever back in Prague I’ll definitely stay there. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks If you are staying at this hotel or at any other in Prague’s downtown, call them before to get directions of how to get there using public transportation, which is very efficient and safe. Avoid taxis from the train station at any cost, they will most likely charge you astronomic fees and try to fool you with distances and the exchange rate. Very nice place to stay, would recommend Have a good look at prices in restaurants. Some are very expensive in the centre of Prague. Always go for local brands, and use market stalls where possible, especially for things like bottles of water.
