We had a 3 bed room which had a kitchenette and a single though we had actually booked a 2 bed room and a single, The single was so noisy (front of the hotel) that we all moved into one room after the first night. The location was excellent, tram stop within 40 ft of entrance. Would stay here again, but not in a room at the front of the hotel and not without airconditioning in June!

This hotel is sitting on "LIPANSKA" tram station. Using TRAMS 9, 26, and 5 (58, 52 Night Trams also arrive there). You can get to the city center in 5 minutes! Trams are arriving every 2 minutes so waiting hardly happens. The hotel is actually divided into two hotels, one is Hotel Golden City. The second is across the street and is called: "Hotel Residence Tábor". I stayed across the street and got a really special offer for 7 nights. I payed for only 5 night - 2 nights were free. For me and my girlfriend crossing the road to eat breakfast, was no burden at all, some may feel that it is. The rooms are large enough, and have private bathroom, with a shower - no bath. Towels are a bit rough - I expected softer towels. There were only two disappointments of the room: 1. The street below is quite noisy - as traffic and trams go there all the time. At night traffic is low, and therefore less noisy, however, in the morning it gets louder. 2. The double bed was actually two single beds joined together. But this didn't prevent us from having all the action ;) The rooms have cable TV, most channels are in Czech or German, I guess BBC world and CNN are the only English ones. Our room had a microwave, a small fridge and a kettle, for coffee or tea. We also had a big closet, and drawers to put our stuff and a safe for sensitive belongings. You should bring a laptop, as every room has a WiFi internet connection. Besides that, you have at the reception desk 2 internet spots, which are all free. This is a really main advantage for this hotel. Breakfast was a quite rich buffet. Boiled eggs, soft cheese and smoked cheese. Cornflakes, coffee, and orange juice made of syrup. Overall, I spent 7 nights in this hotel, paid only 5250 Ck - which is about $200. This is less than $30 per room. $15 per person, for that kind of service is extraordinary! I really recommend you try it out.

Stayed here in August of 2001, and was very pleased. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast was fantastic and who could forget Linda. She was the most helpfull person I met during my 3 weeks in Europe. They were renovating the lobby when we stayed. If you have never traveled to Prague before you may be a little leary of the location. The tram stops virtually right out front. How can you beat the price and service.

We are very surpriced by the size of our room. We booked a triple room, and it was very big room. Nice beds and nice room! Hotel is placed a perfect place, just infront of the train. The window in the door out to the toilet. We were 3 guys, and we could see eachother when we was at the toilet. Toilet must be privacy. The towels used to dry yourself after shower have been used too many times, they are very rough to the skin.

Not a bad hotel, but in a very scary area. Lots of sex shops around and a sex house in the back. Room spacious. Old bathrooms and windows. Cleanliness OK. Breakfast abundant, but everything tasted awful. Receptionists mood changes from guest to guest. Fou
