Arcotel Teatrino Hotel Prague

Arcotel Teatrino Hotel Prague

Borivojova 53 - CZ-13000 Prague

If you're prepared to stay a few minutes away from the city centre then you can find some great deals in Prague and the Arcotel Teatrino is one of them. Located in the mostly residential area of Zizkov, the Arcotel is still within walking distance to the centre but guests can benefit equally from the range of trams which stop a minute's walk away from the hotel and take you to the centre is less than five minutes. Its also one of the easiest hotels to reach from the airport by public transport. The building itself is a restored theatre and guests at the Arcotel take breakfast in a spectacular room between the stage and the gallery. There are also many other original pieces in the hotel including some stained glass windows. Bedrooms are large and modern and in good condition. The patterned carperts won't be to everyone's taste but they are otherwise simply styled and comfortable. All have cable T.V., mini-bar and hairdryers. The hotel has a fitness (Wellness) centre with a small range of machines as well as a sauna and steamroom (free) and massage room (charge). As this is one of Prague's traditional districts this is a good place from which to see the Czechs going about their lives away from the souvenir shops. There are also some local points of interest such as the New Jewish Cemetery, an art-deco church and one of Prague's most famous bars / clubs - the Akropolis. There's also no shortage of local bars and restaurants all around the hotel. Directions: From the airport, take the public bus to Devikja and then cross over to the tram line and take the 26 to Lipinska (2 stops after the main station) which is 100m from the hotel. The number 9 and 14 trams go to Wencelas Square (6 mins) and the 5 and 26 stop by the Powder Tower on the edge of the old town (7 mins). NB. All rooms have en suite facilities

The service is not very friendly nor welcoming, and careful: breakfasts are not included in the price ! However, service is professional, rooms are nice and clean and restaurant is a good for breakfast and dinner. The metro is quite far but the tramway d

I did enjoy the spa treatment provided. the only negative comment would be that this hotel is more of a 3.5 then 4.0 Thanks!

Cosy, fresh, stylish yet simple design, very rich breakfast buffet, comfy rooms/bed. Relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff. Poor tv channel selection and reception quality, very expensive minibar and room internet connection (charging not even really stated in description!)

Great Location ! Great Hotel ! This hotel was an old theatre and has a lot of character. The rooms were nice too much not as nice as the lobby and bar area. I think a paint job is needed in the rooms to sort of freshen the place up but still this hotel was great. The hotel is located a few tram stops from the center of Prague and there is a tram located very very close to the hotel. There was free internet in the lobby. If I wanted Wifi in my room there would be a charge. The staff was very very friendly. I would recommend this hotel. Traveler's tip The tram stop closest to the hotel is called Lipanska. Take tram 5, 9 or 26. Once off the tram you’ll go right up this street that has a high incline. You’ll feel the burn but with all the beer and food you’ll be drinking and eating, it’s a good walk to burn those calories. The hotel is located at the top, very close to the tram.

I’ll probably return to this hotel The bed was small though I did get the least expensive single, but other than that everything was great. Internet was available for free on a kiosk in the lobby and the breakfast was excellent. The location was quiet and easy to get to by a combination of train and tram, although there is a small walk up a hill from the tram stop. I will very likely return here when I go back to Prague.

good for the price this hotel was great for the price, but a bit off the beaten path of prague. The neighborhood is more of a "real working class" on than touristy. found few people spoke english in surrounding markets and pubs. it was an easy tram/metro ride to the main areas of town, but not one you’d want to make multiple times a day. The hotel itself was beautiful. The free breakfast was great, as was the food i had for dinner. Traveler's tip on local attractions the crazy tv tower with giant babies on it is just around the corner. As is the newer (new as of 1747) jewish cemetery. other than that most sites are in other areas of town.
