My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Constans in October for 3 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely, huge room with hardwood floors and a big bed (not two twins pushed together that you frequently see). The bathroom was modern and large. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we had during our 18-day trip through eastern Europe! They even packed a bag for me to take when we had to leave early for our flight, before breakfast was served. The hotel is located on the Mala Strana side, which we liked. It's a short walk up to the castle, and about a 15 minute walk over to the Old Town Square (but what a beautiful walk across the Charles Bridge!). The hotel is on a narrow, quiet cobblestone street in a safe area, near the Embassies. Make sure you have a map--it's a little hard to find. We found the rates to be a bit high on the hotel's website, but we got a great deal by booking through Expedia. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Philip was extremely pleasant and easy to work with during the booking process, and during the stay the staff was pleasant and helpful. They delivered precisely what they said they would in terms of accommodations and pricing. The hotel is in an excellent area - quiet, safe (near the US Embassy so lots of policemen), and very convenient to the Tram line and to the historical sites. The room was extremely spacious (bordered on being a suite), clean and convenient. The toiletries offered were exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic and offered a broad spectrum of options from full to healthy and all was delicious. It was a perfect experience! Bravo!

Big quiet clean comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. About a 7-10 minute downhill walk to the Charles bridge and all the tourist mayhem. Some good un-touristy restaurants nearby.

After going through a tiny entrance and a tiny reception, we were astounded to walk into a huge room and a huge bathroom. Everything was spotless clean, and I loved the modern bathroom. Just a few minutes walk from St Nicholas Church and many good pubs and restaurants on Nerudova Street, the hotel itself is on a quite street.

My wife and I have just returned from a five day stay in the Constans Hotel , Prague (August 2005). This hotel is ideally situated in a quiet back street half way between the Charles Bridge and the Castle. We found the staff courteous, helpful and always available to answer questions . The hotel room was large, clean and equipped with good quality furniture and fittings with an excellent en-suite bathroom attached. Breakfasts were good to very good. Our only slight niggle was that the coffee could have been better. It is possible to walk to all the notable sites on both sides of the river from this location thus avoiding the use of Taxis. Do be warned that all the streets and pavements are cobbled - not the place for high heels! We did not dine in the hotel so cannot comment. We would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.

This is a wonderful hotel. Staff were consistently friendly and very helpful, no request was too difficult. Room was lovely, we had a room with a balcony and it was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Bathroom was huge! Easy walking distance to everything but in an area that is quiet at night. We will definately stay here again.

Stayed 4 nights over Easter, having found this lovely little hotel on Trip Advisor and recommended by Daily Mail Travel. We had a very spacious standard room, including two settees and queen-sized bed. Very clean and newly decorated, with a large bathroom. In a quiet location, but only minutes from all the action and easy walking to the tourist spots in Prague. It was an excellent choice and we also visited the sister Hotel Metamorphis near the Old Town Square for lunch. Another good spot to try another time. Prague was very busy, but delightful old world atmosphere with all the cobbled streets and the lack of traffic in the centre was a huge bonus. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this recently renovated hotel in mid October 2005. The room was very large and well furnished, the bathroom was the largest I have seen outside US resort class hotels. The Constans is a European hotel, i.e. there is a very good cold breakfast buffet each day, but the lobby area is very understated. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. Note to female travelers- forget high or even mid heels. Prague is a walking city, and almost totally cobblestone. Heels tend to get caught between the stones.

This hotel looked great on the net, but still took our breath away when we walked into a massive room and bathroom to match! Everything was very clean and modern. The hotel was very close to everything, 7 mins downhill to Charles Bridge. The staff were always very helpful and the breakfast was superb, with a different variety of eggs and a hot dish every day (we were there for 4 days). Our trip was made perfect by snowfall on our last day. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend this hotel to anyone.
