Although not in the centre of Prague, it is next to a metro station and you can reach the city centre in very short time. Besides next to the train station for trains to Brno/Vienna/Budapest

My boyfriend and I stayed in hotel Absolut during our stay in prague. Initial impressin of hotel was satisfactory. Rooms were modern, well equipped and clean. Located in good lcation with metro stop in close proximity. Reception staff very friendly and helpful...although same can't be said for all staff! Had lunch in hotel restauant on arrival...give it a miss! we were made to feel like unwelcome guests and the food was definitely not worth the wait when it eventually arrived! On second day of our stay returned to the hotel and discovered that personal property had been stolen from hotel bedroom! although safety box provided in room I did not feel that it would be necessary to lock perfume and other cosmetics in a safety box...! Unable to relax for remainder of break knowing that people had gone through my personal property and taken items from the hotel room! On reporting the complaint management were in no uncertain terms unhelpful and dismissive of our concerns!!

I just came back from 17 days in Europe, out of the 5 places we stayed, this was by far the best hotel out of all of them. Hotel The hotel is very clean and modern. The lobby area is very well kept and clean as well. There is one computer with internet access and wireless and network cables are in all rooms. Rooms The rooms compared to most other european hotels we've stayed at were very large - very clean and modern. The bathrooms were decently sized as well. All rooms came with a safe to lock your valuables. I was definately impressed with the cleaniness and size of the rooms. Staff The staff here was the best part of the stay, the front desk people were extremely friendly and very very helpful. They were pleasant do deal with and always smiling and approachable. Location The hotel is situated two blocks away from the Metro Station, which is basically 3 stops away from central Prague... it is very close to the major stops and links to all the major sites in Prague. I was very happy with the location. If you are a younger person, you are very close to a bunch of popular nightclubs, likely a 5-10 minute walk at most. If you are a hockey fan, the T-Mobil arena is just down the street, 10-15minute walk. Food The hotel has a morning breakfast included, the food was basic but pretty good, be sure to make it early to get scrambled eggs and bacon! But there was a decent spread of cereals, juices and pastries, so no complaints on my side. We had supper at the hotel one night, it was ok, not the greatest, and a little pricey. so unless you had to, I'd say go elsewhere. Spa There is also at spa at the hotel, my friends tried out the sauna and highly reconmmended that. I booked at massage for an hour, it was decently priced and the massage was average. I would have liked to have a little bit of a deeper massage for my sore muscles but it was ok. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, the location was great, rooms were very clean and large, and most importantly, the staff was great to deal with. All thumbs up for this one!

my boyfriend and i stayed there for from Christmas until the new year. it is a very nice place overall. pros: -great price!!! we paid around $60/night. -the subway is across the street. and it is three stops from old town and the rest of the tourist places. note: these are long stops. about 15 minutes for three stops. but the subway runs every ten minutes or so. -breakfast is included. and very nice one too. various bread, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cut meats, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, juice, sweets, coffee, tea and etc... -nice size room for Prague. modern decor., very upper price level Ikea. nice marble bathroom. (usually the rooms in Prague hotels are pretty small, especially the bathroom) -semi soft bed linen. around 200 thread count i would guess. -there is an in room safe. -hair dryer upon request. -very quite. -reasonably priced mini bar. -there is a mini grocery store half a block down from the hotel. they sell food and drinks there. try to buy beer and wine there. it is 1/4 the price of the mini bar in the room. -there is a spa on the basement level. however, we did not try it out. cons: -do not drink the wine from the in room mini bar. it tastes AWFUL!!! especially the red. go to the mini mart one block away. -there is not much of a view from the window. some beat up looking buildings with graffiti. -the location of the hotel is not exactly center of the town.and the neighborhood goes quiet after dark. -there is no room service. -this is a general note, but Prague as a city is not very vegetarian or vegan friendly. -this could be just our room, but the carpet looks kind of worn out. did not dare to walk bare foot during our stay. -again this could be just our room, but the heater did not work very well. it was a little cold. but the temp outside was -7C. and oh, the AC/heat unit was a little noisy.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Hotel Absolute at the start of December. The hotel rooms were nice however thats about all thats nice that could be said about the hotel. On our first night we decided to have something to eat in the hotels restaurant, where we found the staff to be quite rude and we were made to feel uncomfortable even though we were the paying customers. Upon checking out of the hotel we were billed for using items in the mini bar which we did not touch at all and it took some time for the staff to realise that we did not take the items. Overall, the hotel is not that well located, you have to get the metro to the centre of Prague and bar the rooms I could not think of anything else good to say. Beware of the guy serving in the bar/restaurant with the goatie!!

We have just returned from 4 days in Prague staying at the Hotel Absolut and we loved every minute. the Hotel is modern and spotlessly clean, staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are modern, very well equipped and comfy, the en suite bathrooms fabulous too. Its so easy to get to from the airport, just jump on the Airport Express bus to Holesvice station, its 2 minutes walk from here, costs about £1. Theres nothing in the immediate area where the hotel is (and i didnt think much of the area) but the trams and metro are within a 2 minute walk and on the metro we were in the centre of prague within 5 minutes. I would stay in this Hotel again, all the staff made you feel very welcome.

Stayed for one night before taking a train from Holesovice station which is just across the road. To be used to explore Prague I would not advise it. Even though its only 3/4 subway stops from the center, it feels like it is in the middle of nowhere (its even off the turists maps...) The hotel is nice, rooms average to large in size and with a design touch to them. Breakfast is below par for 4*. We tried going to the restaurant, but the bartender was so unpolite / rude that we went to the McDonalds across the street.

If you are looking for a modern clean and very comfortable room just 3 stops from the city then this hotel is excellent. Breakfast was included in our price - lovely - catered for all taste ( anything from cereals, pastries, ham, cheese, breads, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit salad, jams, juices, coffee and the biggest selection of teas!!!) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is across the road from tube and bus station (3 stops from the city center and 5 minutes by bus to the zoo) Free wireless internet in the room and free parking (most places charge $10-20) it was a plus!!! no living room or balcony in basic room (doubles are made with two single beds) but amazing bathroom with separate shower and bath tub, cable tv, and minibar!!!! Enjoy!!!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Hotel Absolut in September 2006 and found the experience very enjoyable. We found the rooms to be well designed a home from home with modern touches to it. The room was clean and the on-suit bathroom was great. Take note the standard rooms do not have balcony or living room. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful with any queries we had. The hotel offered a fine buffet breakfast and if you get the chance to get lunch or dinner in the restaurant the food is great. The hotel was not in the center but was not a problem because there were both metro and tram services 2min walk from the hotel. From the hotel to the center took us 15min. There is also an airport express shuttle bus which runs frequently from the metro station, so keep and eye out when you get to Prague airport for it. Overall the hotel was great and was a great place to come back to after a day's sightseeing.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Central Europe. One of the highlight of our accommodation adventure was the Hotel Absolut. I was a little concerned that it was out of town but with access to the metro across the street, it could not have been easier to get to town. (10 minutes from our bedroom to downtown) The staff was courteous, the room clean and very stylish. A full marble bathroom with seperate shower was perfect after walking all day through Prague. They even provided a power converter for shavers. Food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers that love affordable luxury and need a quiet night of sleep. We loved Prague but after 9 PM, we were happy to go back to our little oasis of tranquility.
