Booked through Goldtrail with a flight by Onur Airlines. A few days before our departure we were informed that the holiday was to be cut by a day and were offered full refund or £15 per adult, but not for the child. We were 2 adults and a child that that to be paid for. The apartment was appalling. There were damp sheets, not enough pillow cases. Our towels were placed on the toilet seat which wasn't too bad until you realized that the toilet had no lid and the toilet was dirty. The shower was filthy with soap and grim all over the fittings, broken tiles and a large mould colony growing well. When you turned on the tap in the broken wash basin the water leaked out and the stench of sewage was over powering. The kitchen units were covered in a film of dirty grease. There were broken and hanging electrical fittings with terminals exposed. The hair-dryer was hard wired into a loose wall socket. The manger was unavailable and the Goldtrail rep told us that this was what accommodation in turkey was like and said that there were no vacancies in the whole town (500+ Hotels). I later found a hotel that had vacancies, was not full and only took Goldtrail clients. I have been to Turkey before and many, many other places all over europe and know that this is not true. We and 9 other people who arrived with us went to look for other accommodation and were informed we would be on our own. The tour operator refused to assist us and refused to move or upgrade even if we paid. At the end of the holiday we found out that the pick up had been brought forward by 2 hours and then again by another hour because the flight time had been altered. On arrival at the airport we found that the flight time had not been changed and looked forward to a 5.5 hr wait. The airplane creaked and complained all the way to and from turkey and subsequent research seems to imply that it doesn't have the best track record (check out wikipedia and bbc.co.uk) The holiday was only saved by us and 9 others finding and paying for our own accommodation which was of lower star rating but far superior. Don't get me wrong Turkey and Mamaris is a lovely place and the people very nice (except the manager of the Club Blue who told a guest complaining of blood on the sheets that if they wanted 7 star Hotel they should go to Dubai). I would not hesitate to go back to Turkey and Mamaris but definitely not with Goldtrail or the Club Blue Paradise.

Nice location great service, however It was a lovely location and a chance to get away from the huge crowds. The staff were excellent and friendly. However if your into cheap package deal properties this is the one for you.. This is your typical package tourist destination, right down to ’Leave your towel on the sun lounge’ dutch/german holiday maker, to your northern England ’can’t eat this foriegn muck’ type. If you have kids great destination. If your after a little more class, and no stress, don’t bother. I think bad choice on my part! Traveler's tip on recreational activities Lot’s to do and the water activities are great.
