We loved our stay there. It's beautiful and the location is perfect. The staff was perfect. The extra bed was unmade with a stained mattress. The soap in the bathroom wasn't wrapped and there was mouthwash in the cup. Generally it was more than pleasant, but the lack of cleanliness was disappointing!

We had a great time spending our honeymoon at theAtrium. The food was great, the hotel looked so beautiful with the pool and white buildings around...but the best is the service - all the staff are so helpful and friendly that we still have fond memories of them. Of course, if you are looking for a 5 star hotel, there are many other choices. But for a 3-star rating, Altrium exceeds every expectation of us. Good choice for a romantic getaway....

Found this hotel very basic. Rooms are old and dismal. Noisy air con, two lights didn't work and no mini bar. Bathroom functional but in need of renovation. We went half board but found the food so bad, we had to eat out elsewhere. Only good points were that it was central and staff were pleasant.

Nice hotel full of european guests. Nice pool and pleasant guests .Room pleasant and clean. Hotel stingy. A/C poor, signs everywhere telling you not to bring in drinks from the outside .I was on 1/2 board and food was poor .Main meals included fish fingers, burgers and burnt fish plus a few Turkish dishes. No one complained. The English i spoke to went to local resturants despite having paid for 2 weeks 1/2 board .

I stayed at the Atrium Hotel in Bodrum for two weeks in October while I was out househunting every day. As I had managed to obtain an extremely cheap last minute deal, I wasn't expecting great things, but as soon as I arrived I was more than pleasantly surprised. All the staff were extremely friendly and cheerful, from the receptionist and the breakfast waiter down to the chambermaid who cleaned out the bedroom leaving fresh towels every day. Of course it always helps if you can speak a few words of Turkish. The room was perfectly adequate, extremely clean with air-conditioning unit,T.V. and mini-bar. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The best thing about the Atrium must be its central location - turn right out of the entrance and you are only a five minute walk from the harbour front and all the restaurants and shops. Turn left, and you are only ten minutes away from the bus station, the weekly bazaar and the Hamam (Turkish baths). Turn left at the traffic lights by the bus station, and you are only five minutes walk from the Marina and another set of shops. Despite its central location, the Atrium was extremely peaceful, and my room looked out onto the central garden area. The medium-sized pool looked sparklingly clean and inviting, although I never got to try it out because of my househunting commitments. A sunny breakfast terrace was spread around the pool near to the bar. Turkish breakfast every day consisted of cheese, salami, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, hard boiled eggs, fresh bread with honey or jam and tea and coffee. If you were feeling adventurous, you could try out the old-fashioned toaster which provided toast on a conveyor belt system. All in all I would give the Atrium top marks for a medium-priced, clean and friendly, no-frills hotel in an excellent central location. I shall definitely be going back again, and am only sorry that they close up at the beginning of November. Barbara

"Ah yes, we've been expecting you and have taken the liberty to upgrade you for free, to a suite/family room as you'll be staying with us longer than most". How's that for an introduction? We were shown to our very large, double roomed suite which had a seating area with two sofa beds and a spare single bed at the back. It further had a large fridge and colour TV which even had an English speaking channel- BBC Prime. For German language fans it also showed RTL. The main bedroom was spacious, with a good bed and matching bedside cabinets and personal lights; something often over looked at hotels scrimping on fixtures and fittings and stuck for space. Very frustrating assuming that a couple naturally go to sleep at the same time at night... The bathroom had both bath AND shower, a big sink area, and it was clean. Indeed, hotel policy was a daily clean with fresh towels and bed linen, but we preferred to simply ask every third or fourth day for our housekeeping. We do not like to waste resources of any kind. Hotel facilities were all good. Free wi-fi internet, fair sized pool and we had a deal for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the standard Turkish fare, tomato, cucumber, cheeses, olives, fresh bread (delicious) honey, jam and some kind of egg, usually hard boiled. Nothing truly exciting to tempt you out of bed if you can't be bothered (or have enjoyed the nightlife for too long) but enough to keep you going until lunch should you choose. Tea and coffee on tap but note that juices had to be paid for. Dinner consisted of a vegetarian soup of the day and was usually always excellent. One main dish only, 50-50 between vegetarian and meat (chicken was popular and extremely tasty), traditional Turkish or European but good, and at least a dozen or so salads. Dessert usually gave a choice of 2-3 sweets plus a custard-style pudding. What made me laugh is that some guests complained about the choice of food which was a standard style, repeated over the week. There are a plethora of dining options a mere 5 minute step away and so if it was becoming repetitive (a reasonable observation), all one had to do was go for a stroll. Who cares if you paid a few Lira for the food, no one forced you to dine there all the time. Saying that, we did mostly and thoroughly enjoyed it. The situation of the hotel is wonderful too. Quiet, peaceful surroundings; yet walk one way for a few minutes and you're down by the seafront or turn the other way and you're at the bus station, supermarket, shops and hustle and bustle. The local side street was delightful- we ended up taking our washing there, getting my haircut there, using the mini-market there and becoming firm friends with the local bar that was selling a 500ml Efes beer for YTL3. Remarkable. The staff were all quite splendid with special mention to both the waiter and barman who looked after us as if we were family. Indeed, we got delayed and ended up having my mother in law join us for a fortnight. They spoiled her rotten and she had a wonderful stay. In all we stayed three full weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we would certainly recommend it to friends and family. Oh, we did. My sister-in-law even joined us for a day as she was passing on her way through to Greece and was more than impressed.

Just returned from this hotel after spending a week house hunting in Bodrum. The location is excellent, only 5-10 minutes walk to the heart of the old town and marina. I felt very safe walking home at night alone during early hours of the morning! The hotel is basic and could do with general modernisation so if your lkooking for a luxery retreat then this is not the one. But, if your looking for a cheap and friendly hotel which is situated within the centre then I really do not think your find a better. The staff are friendly and the pool area is clean and not possey. I have half board and found the food baic but tasty, I did not eat much at hotel as more fun exploring old town food places. So would I book this hotel again, yes I would. I would recommend that you sneak plenty of drinks and snacks in on your arrival as they do not like you brining food back to the hotel, I suppose they are only trying to make a living. Michael LONDON

Our first impressions of the Atrium Hotel were good, with an attractive marbled pool area and plenty of plants. The double bedroom was a reasonable size, but a bit tired and in need of redecoration. The aircon produced a nasty smell like stale wet towels and obviously needed disinfecting. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but beware of the prices charged for drinks and snacks. The food was VERY POOR with only 1 choice of main course for the evening meal. The deserts were very bland and the same every night of the week we spent there. The only fruits on offer were some quite nasty apples, and one evening there was watermelon. There was never any fruit juce or yogurt available with breakfast, just bread, meat, olives and cheese - yawn! The good points were the location, pretty much in the centre of Bodrum and its proximity to local cafes and restaurants and only a short walk from the bazar, beach and marina areas. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you are happy to avoid their food competely.

A relaxing peaceful hotel with very friendly staff and large comfortable rooms. The food was typical Turkish cuisine and very plentiful. This was the first time in my life that I actually wanted to stay around my hotel, as it was offering all I copuld wish for, sun lounger, swimming pool, sun shine and available luch at same prices as the town cafes. The rooms were clean and traditional. Plenty of storage space and with things like fly screens on the windows meant you could sleep with the windows open if you wanted to. The airconditioning worked well and was quiet. It was not easy to hear people in adjacent rooms and there was a nice class of guest staying for most of our time there. As I spent so many hours in the hotel, I think my opionion to be valued. If you don't like "foreign food" then this is not the hotel for you. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had cost me about £10 per day for half board. I know it could have cost much more if I had eaten out every day. I tried to watch for hygiene being practised and I saw into a very spotless kitchen and the chef was properley attired including wearing gloves to touch the food. I can't wait to return
