Well what can you say when the hotel staff become part of your family , this was our 3rd trip to thialand. But won`t be our last. After working for a year to earn the right to go on holiday , you could not ask for a better place to put your feet up. If you wanted a night on the raz , shopping etc then it`s a tuk tuk away.Set in a wonderful gardens well looked after buy the ground staff , the rooms very well looked after buy the house staff and everyone from reception , ground staff to the maids are so kind and proud of what they do. It adds to your stay as not a thing is to small for them to do. The only problem is now we are in deep depresion as it will be another 12 months befor we are back. Just a asset to the whole world. Thank you all Andy,Shirley & Stephen

We stayed at Bandara Resort last September and it is the best hotel we had until now (quality/price). We had a very good breakfast buffet (4 different fresh juice, smoked salmon, thai breakfast, pancakes, honey in the comb,..) everything you can dream on. You have the opportunity to relax at the two big swimming pools with chairs + umbrellas and on the beach. There is enough chairs for everyone. They organize activities (yoga, diving initiation, thai box, aqua gym, fruit scarving, etc.) but you have to register in advance at the reception, otherwise the activity can be cancelled if nobody is interested. Once a week, we have the opportunity to taste a thai buffet for the price of 1.250 baths + taxes. Free wireless access for your laptop (ask at the reception) and internet in public area (2 PCs). They put big lockers with towels, shampoo, etc for late departure at your disposal. Normally, we had to leave the bedroom at 12 but they allowed us to keep it until 2 pm. The staff try to fulfil all your requests. The only inconvenient is the price for the food and the beverage which is relatively high. The Fischerman’s village is at 10 minutes walk. "

Great place for a quiet time! I live in Singapore and went to Koh Samui during the Christmas weekend, just for a few days break. After browsing through the alternatives I decided to try Bandara, because it looked nice on the website and they have these villas that sounded very nice. I booked one of those and was not disappointed. Nice room and bathroom area, indoor and outdoor shower (I only used the outdoor). The garden with private pool and sun chairs is a great place to relax after a day at the beach. It's all closed in by bamboo fence. It was kind of quiet during these days and definitely not a big party resort, which suited me fine this time. No problem to get beach chairs or place at the pools. One thing I didn't like was the housekeeping schedule, I never knew when they would show up, and that is a bit annoying when you live in a villa and want privacy in your pool or sun chair. Breakfast buffet is great and other meals at the beach restaurant are also good but, as other have mentioned, a bit pricy. There are plenty of options around for those who like to walk around comparing prices. I'm not good at that. So all in all, the pictures don't lye, it is as nice as it looks. And the beach sand is perfectly ok, even if some complain about it. The only thing that may keep me from going back is the general problem in Thailand that a lot of people, sellers, taxi drivers, clubs, etc, try to rob you one way or another, so you always have to be alert. I am getting tired of that.

Fantastic - will be going back next year This hotel is fantastic. I was lucky enough to win a stay here in a Pool villa. The villa is great, there is a private plunge pool (where you can view the flat screen tv from if you turn it!) out door lounges, and an undercover day bed. The resort is about 10mins walk along the beach from the Fishermans’s village. It’s not nearly as touristy as some of the other parts of Ko Samui. The Bandara spa is excellent - I spent every second day in there. Also, if you want to indluge the dinner on the beach is great. Traveler's tip on dining Go Across the road to the little noodle cart in front of the convenience store. For around $1.20 AUD you can get a fantastic bowl of noodles! Also, the convenience store is a much cheaper place to but food and drink than the hotel.

A lovely hotel in a quiet area but it includes a lovely pool and goes through a tropical garden to the beach. There are deck chairs at both places and sea games in a little office. The rooms were spacious and had a cute verandah overlooking the pool. The breakfast and staff were great. Our only complaint is that the hotel should provide transport to the airport only 5 kms away so we are not at the mercy of greedy taxi drivers which does rather spoil the effect of the place when you're leaving.

This hotel is great, the photographs (especially the one of the main swimming pool) do not show it's true quality and beauty. The gardens and swimming pools are fantastic, and it is right on the beach. The beach is not the white sand you may be expecting as it has shingle in it, but it is still beautiful. There is plenty to do at the resort, they are forever holding events to entertain you, and I even had windsurfing lessons for free! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the house maid for our room was great, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was turned back at night, fresh fruit was left and on occasion fresh flowers and sweets - it all made the stay that little bit more special. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
