We've been taking chalet with jacuzzi for our honey moon. We're very pleased that the room is clean, spacious, and we enjoyed the private open-air jacuzzi with the view of beach and palm groove. In overall, Ban Laem Sai is a good choice for those who wanted to have a quiet and romantic time together. However, the place is quite far from city and shops. (they do have shuttle service to and back from chaweng free of charge) So most of our time is spent in the hotel. You can enjoy facilities in hotel and its beautiful garden (flower and plants everywhere). I found that the staff is not so proficient in English, as compared to other hotel. So it's quite troublesome to order food from hotel, hopefully they gonna improve it. The beach in front of the hotel is rocky. But, it is of no problem because you can walk to adjacent beach. In summary, I recommend this hotel to those who wanted to enjoy quiet and romantic time in the hotel. Especially the private jacuzzi....

The resort is located in a somewhat secluded area and our arrival there at night made us feel more so. But the moment we stepped into the reception area, wow, the all romantic atmosphere started from there with cozy, luxurious, and natural setting and nice people. An electric car drove us to the chalet jacuzzi area, and the room was, well, a real chalet up the hill! The room was quite spacious and we could feel the natural wooden theme in the floor, door, and furniture. The bed was very romatically decorated with flowers and two towel elephants, but the best of all was the impressive view of the quiet ocean, sky, and tropical trees from the balcony where the jacuzzi was waiting for us. It was a pretty chalet as we already knew from the name, but we didn't expect it was a chalet in the heaven! We certainly had a very memorable time there, but for those who prefer a festive area with more people around, like my dearest partner who complained that it was a little too quiet, the resort was running shuttles to and from the chaweng beach and there was also car and motorbike rental service available. We hope more people will enjoy it there as much as we did.

Amazing place with low cost prices for this categorie of hotel! very good quality and very good team! If the hotel could rebuild the access road that will be perfect! Also the roadsign indication for the hotel are very hard to found!

Absolutely barefaced hotel policies made the stay in the hotel horrible. The hotel is very isolated from sight seeing and entertainment features. No restaurants, bars are are closed to the hotel and therefore it is necessary to take a taxi to get out of the hotel area to have lunch. The restaurant is very expensive for Koh Samui! The most unsatisfying point is that the reception is not allowed to call a taxi according to the existing hotel policy. Therefore very expensive hotel shuttle must be taken to get out of the hotel. From my point of view this is rip-off and not acceptable for guests. Furthermore I broke an ashtray in the room and I had to pay a very huge amount for. Overall from my point of view the General Manager tries to rip-off the guests therever it is possible.

If you are after a quite hotel away from it all then this is ideal. The jaccuzi room i had was a lovely room, with a view probly as good as any hotel i have ever stayed in.The problem was that the room i was allocated was less than six foot from a building site, which had constant drilling from 10am to more or less sunset. This did not woory us to much as we were always out and about, or by the pool where this could not be heard. The hotel did offer us an upgrade but in my view the upgrade room quality did not suppass the view from this room so we did not move. I would be aware of this building work which was only getting started and will probly continue well into 2009. Staff were average especially front desk who were not the most helpfull at times. Mustafa who i believe to be the food and berverage manager was very good as was his bar staff. Taxis end up being expensive to chawang as was hotels shuttle. Stayed in a four star hotel at the very north of chawang beach which was far superior in every aspect and for much cheaper. I think this hotel will improve due to location and room quality, but would be wary at the moment to go back

We honeymooned at this resort and stayed in one of the chalets with private jacuzzi on the balcony. We had a beautiful vista of the whole resort, the beach, and the sunset. It was the perfect start to our honeymoon in Thailand, and I would recommend this to any couple who have been through a very busy wedding week and would just like to relax for a few days. It is in a very quiet part of Koh Samui, so relaxation is the key. You are about a 25 minute walk to a quaint and touristy fisherman's village. Boats leave here for Koh Pangan as well. Not the hotel's fault, but the sand on the beach is quite coarse and not great for too much walking. We stayed for 3 nights of pure relaxation before moving on to the more lively Chaweng.

This hotel is totally amazing! Gorgeous reception, wonderful swimming pool with navy blue water and a turtle pool bar in the water! Our Villa was huge and looked like brand new, wooden walls and roof, amazing bathroom with a huge bathroom and shower, part of the roof on glass , very well decorated!!!!! Wonderfull sundeck upon the sea and the swimming pool and an ecologic hotel worried about saving water and protecting nature kind of unusual for a luxury hotel! Very very good food and the best service that we've found during our trip in The Gulf of Thailand. Actually the only place where the staff was so so so polite, nice and smiley, absolutely not in the other hotels (not even in the 4* hotels). So we were really appreciate this change!!!! And just taste the Blended Fruits Juices at the restaurant, just perfect!!!!! But don't try the coktails at the pool bar that are just horrible with like chemical weird syrup instead fresh juices!!! The only little mistake for this hotel.... I just have to say that the beach is small because of the tide and not very pratical during the high tide on July and not in the center of maenam but If you want a heavenly retreat in the middle of a palms forest in a luxury atmosphere with a perfect 5* service and a very good value, this is the right place to stay! We spent our 2 last days in Thailand in this hotel and it's really more like a 5* stars hotel with wonderful people who work there!
