The Aloha Resort is an excellent choice for beach resort in Lamai. We were guests for seven days in December 2007. Excellent staff, very accomodating, especially tour director and General Manager. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and large with great views. The location was convenient to shopping and dining in town, but still seemed private and remote for a relaxing vacation. Food was good. Highly recommend. We learned on our last day that the GM was leaving. Hope it doesn't have negative repercussions on this resort. Loved it!!

Very Below Par resort. Definitely not a 3 star rating. Staff deliver below average customer service. There was only one Staffmember who provided excellent service - the remainder are useless. Bathroom and Toilet in my room were very sub standard and poor drainage anytime you used the shower.. Pool and Garden are ok - but the Aloha resort not a value for money place. Plenty of better places nearby. Would never stay here again."

This is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at in Asia. Absolutely one of the worst service-policeys I've met in Thailand. Ordered a delux sea-view room, but the room needs desperatley to be redecorated. The toilet is constantely running, and the beds are very hard. The hotel is far to expencive considering what u get, exept for the food. But be ware of cats that is everywhere, also under your table and around your feets while eating. Breakfast scores nothing more than average. The pool and swimming area is ok, but they give u a fine of xxx Bath if u dont return the towel within 18.30! They have intrenet in the hotel, but the server is down a lot (3 times in 5 minutes), so I advise u to use intrenett somewhere else. (The staff suddenly dont understand english when I try to complain to the manager). I would never want to stay at this hotel again, and I devise u to stay away.

This is the worst resort among those I've visited in Samui, comparing its room rate with its service. When the reception didn't want to communicate further, she acted as if she didn't understand English. As I had to check out for one night during my stay, I asked if I could leave my luggage there. Receptionist pointed at a store room some distance away but say nothing else. (So I moved luggage myself but it's okay for me). However, the bathroom is unacceptably dirty & worn, with mould on the edge of tub, & water heater didn't work at all.

we have stayed at this resort back in 2001 and found it hadn't changed other than a new extension curretly being built. I must add that the constuction didn't affect our stay. Once the extension is completed I would hope the rest of the grounds would recieve an uplift and the beach front gets some attention. For £40 per night for 2 persons including breakfast you couldn't complain and yes I would use it again as it's in the quieter end of Lamai."

The Deluxe room is very small not 24 m2, maybe only 9m2, the furniture is shabby, the choice in breakfast is poor, too expensive for see view only.

The pool is okay. Hotel is convenient as located on the main road. Neighbouring, there are some pubs with live bands playing till 3 a.m. If you want a good sleep, this hotel's definitely not suitable. Room is old & needs renovation. I doubt about hygiene as I saw insects moving on the mattress. The room price is too high in terms of the quality provided. They even charged me 300 Bahts for wearing a hotel T-shirt placed in the room. There's not any reminder that it's for sale & not for customer use (as it was placed together with the disposable slippers). Disappointing!

At this time, a part of the hotel was under construction and it was noisy. Next to the hotel a new Resort is to construct now, and it`s noisy too. The furniture in the rooms is old. The breakfast is standard, example no cheese.

verry disapointed by this hotel,i paid for deluxe room ,and the staff gave a superior room with no view at all,the toilet was out of order, air conditioning didn't work properly, after one hour of arguing they give us a worse room with road view!!day after i had to see the manager to obtain for what i paid, the staff just react to tip, wait in the room untill you tip them -rude and unpolite way of doiing!all the rooms need to bee totally renovated(beds are are in poor condition, lamps are broken, just the price list is ok)!only good point is that they care for the (small )garden which is nice as the swimming pool!last time in this uggly hotel"
