Al's Resort

Great stay, and outstanding location for people looking to party. Countless nightlife spots within crawling and stumbling distance. It is very commercialized around the hotel, so if you want 20 steps to a starbucks, internet cafe, then a burger king, come on down. But if you want to feel like you're in Thailand, not Miami Beach or Cancun, look into Koh Phangnan or Koh Tao. We totally enjoyed our 2 nights here and partied our butts off. Dont let the room size worry you too much. It was me and another dude and it wasn't too bad. Adequate for sleeping, and putting your stuff away, wasn't a huge problem for us. Good breakfast too!

The grounds are pretty and access to the beach and resort is very good. However, overall these rooms are way overpriced for what you get. The room is TINY and the bathroom of a really poor standard. It'd be ok IF the price was lower. Also the maid service was annoying as they wanted to clean at 3-3.30pm a time which is far too late and maybe when a guest wants to relax in the room. The noise from the beach disco is pretty loud depending on the room you're in. The breakfast saved the day as there is a good choice and the restaurant staff are very friendly.

Good location,but a little noisy at night,espeacially during weekend.The rooms need maitenance upkeep because some of them are not well maintain that allows mosquitors to sneak in.Food from the restaurant need to have more varieties.Overall it is satisfaction.

Location is perfect, right in the middle of Chaweng (no noise from the bars). Hotel is under renowating, which might get it better.Rooms are little bit worn out. Beach is right in front of the hotel and it is suitable for children. Breakfast is thai -styled, pretty ok.

nice hotel, right in the center of things. i been in the suit delux (somthing like thet), its not very big but we were 3 ppl'z so it was ok for us. i reccmebded to get the biger rooms cus the closer to the beastch, pool and to brecfest (the was also nice!) i think i will go again to this hotel if i will be ever back to samui.

I just stay in Al's Hut 1 day, The receptionist not happy with that, so our room is near the lobby it is very noise until 3am........I can't sleeping well... However,it is a lovely and good value hotel....I will back again^-^

Excellent location in the middle of Chaweng beach. Very close to Ark Bar restaurant, which serves the best food on the island (Thai as well as Western food). Great value resort for people who do not mind to have a small room.

Good place, but the roofing is hanging on the walk way, so whjen it rain the water from the roof fall right on you on the walk way.

Great place to stay. You are made very welcome and the nightlife is only minutes away. Excellent location.

Al's Resort is a wonderful resort. We stayed in one of the Villas next to the pool. The room was very comfortable and clean with a mini bar, air con and cable television. The room was decorated beautifully and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean however the shower was very low. If you wanted to wash your hair and body, you had to kneel in the tub. Not sure why they did this??? The location of Al's Resort is PERFECT! It close to the nightlife and shopping and it’s right on the beach. There is a Top's grocery story behind the resort which was so convenient for snacks and water. The staff was very helpful and also friendly. The breakfast was fine. (eggs, bacon, rice, noodles, fresh fruit, toast and other sweet breads) Overall I would recommend Al’s Resort. I would definitely stay there again. "
