Good location, i.e. close to the BTS. Friendly and helpful staff, OK breakfast, clean rooms. Only negative aspect was the paper thin walls, one neighbor's love life was a little too public for comfort.

Pretty good Always bring a copy of the hotel address because Bangkok is hard to get around in and you will probably need to show it to the driver.

I have stayed in many hotels in Bangkok over the years and the Imperial Tara Hotel has, without doubt, got to be the worst ever. The hotel is dark and uninviting and is in major need of an overhaul. The bedrooms are sparce, however, they are clean. Breakfast is very basic and never changes. All in all a most unsatisfactory experience and not helped by the reception staff who appeared uninterested in dealing with my complaints. For a very little more you can stay at a much better hotel. I certainly won't be staying here again.

good hotel, very good restaurant, clean, nice room, nice people, probably not use this hotel again because of the lokation. Far from the old city. you can use MRT (10 min. walk) but MRT doesn't go into the old city.So you have to use also a taxi.

There's a construction site nearby which means lots of noise at the moment even in the evening (sept 2006). Otherwise a good hotel, not new but with no real weak point. The pool is quite big and staff is helpfull.

great service, made you feel at home The rooms were large, clean. The beds were comfortable. Nice pool, nice breakfast buffet with made to order omelots. Easy 10 minute walk to Emporium shopping center and train station. Who could ask for more?

Needs Facelift This hotel is below par. The place hasn't been renovated in decades, the internet rates are ridiculous, and the gym is terrible.

The staff were very friendly and polite at all times. Although I was very satisfied with the Imperial Tara hotel, it's facilities and location, I think that it is in need of refurbishment. Also, it should offer the option of non-smoking rooms.
