The hotel was located quiet well, near historical core of Bangkok but in peaceful part of street. The room was basic but clean, I just missed towel there. Staff is friendly, helpful. You have to pay 300b. for key deposit, safety boxes in reception need your own padlock, so if you intent to use them, take it with you:-) I would stay there again. I consider the choice of hotel as very good, especially in relation price and what you get.

it was ok for 10 Euros a night, I have had better. there was a cock up with the room, we asked for a twin and got a double then had to pay for another room, which was more expensive than for the first room. the staff were friendly enougth but as with any thing in Thailand if you have a problem keep smileing and taliking, dont shout and it will work out in the end. The staff were friendly enough if you arte with them. Be wary of the tuk tuk drivers waiting around this area offering a tour of the city for 10 baht each, they get in you in tuk tuk and harrass you to go to a tailors or to there friend to book a hotel for your onward trip etc. especialy in the night to get from one place to the other, they wanted to charge me 300 baht for what cost 70 in a taxi meter. beware.

we had a pleasant stay in this hotel. very accessible to street parties, bargains, fun...fun...fun...in Khaosan road. Its near the Grand Palace, pier (taxi boat) and Tourist information center (which btw was not sooo realiable) Great value for your MONEY!!!!! but you just have to book online to get the best deal otherwise it will be expensive for walk-in guests.

Service was pretty bad, for an hotel with the word smile in it we didnt see any of that, you get what you paid for, if all you need the room for is to sleep and shower its good for a tight budget otherwise fork over the extra bit and get a better hotel.

My wife and I generally never like to pay too much for a hotel because you only use it to sleep in. I would call it a budget hotel. Better for the younger traveler. It was OK.

Room was small and smelled of paint, bed uncomfortable Aircon ok and bathroom with hot water ok, tv lacked a few channels and did not have remote. Located well and breakfast ok but the "land of smiles" did not apply to breakfast staff. Ok.... might stay again if I was stuck but plenty of accom in the area so am tempted to see what the opposition has to offer in future

OK to ensure you have a room for the first night in Bangkok but this hotel is simple and not worth the price of the room. There are much better options out there, but most arent on the internet.
