This time I had sleepless night because of some very busy bugs in my bed. Never again.

We got not the room promised (twin bed), but a windowless double room. At least the air-con works efficiently, the bed was good and the room was clean. It was very cheap and we are still satisfied with the hotel.

i arrived around 2 am at the hotel and the room i was assigned provided a warm cozy welcome...with cable TV too to keep a lone traveler company...even if i had to climb up way too high to the 3rd floor i always longed for the comfort of my soft bed and the refreshing hot shower ..the climb upstairs is not for the fainthearted though...breakfast was satisfactorily served and i loved the thai breakfast type more than continental. internet was easily accessible from the hotel lobby...beware u have to put on some anti-mosquito lotion because mosquitos abound in the corner where the internet service is for 10 baht /15 min. best part of khaosan inn was its location ..it is on the not so busy / quieter side but still accessible to khaosan road in which are located stalls for night market, food stalls to feed a hungry soul and even some bars too where live music is played . the hotel's proximity (10 min stroll)to khaosan road where tourists like me take walks and feel a belongingness to the crowd of other tourists provide a respite in the evening of a hectic day from tours in the city. also if u know how to simplify your inquiries and requests with just basic words in english the hotel staff is most helpful...do be prepared to have a 500 baht note upon check in as deposit for the door key.. shuttle bus no. 2 to airport parks right in front of the hotel too so it is sooo convenient to get a ride to the airport...

at first i was bit concerned bout the room and location since i have read most of the comments.. surprisingly it wasnt that bad after all. location is good..not too near to khaosan to be disturbed by the loud music and yet not too far..just 2-3 min walk (bargain clothes and street food galore) very need to wat po and grand place...bout 10min walk to phra artit station (ferry) which u can take to s thaksin bts. room is ok ..i stayed in standard double. though the shower is small and would be a problem for tall guys. room also got basic needs like cabinet,tv, a/c, and ridge. staff so so, quite to hard understand and stubborn as well but managable. except for one who is really helpful.. i can still remember the girl in the front desk who is really unpleasant physically and rude.grrr airport bus is just at the door step of the hotel which is very convenient for 1st timers. Hotel got internet downstairs 10baht for 15 mins i think and weighing scale 10baht per use. they have storage room which u can use for fee. late chcke out 1300-16oo for 200 or 300 baht (kindy confirm).

Very nice location and good value with the breakfast. No wi-fi and house keeping should be arranged before 1p.m. each day (if you want they clean your room).

The room wak OK but they never came to clean it ! When the AC was off it was leaking . The shower was not realy hot and very hard to adjust. The laundry service lost one of my pants. However the place is OK for budget travellers with no speical needs as it's really cheap.

Great location, the Airport Express bus to and from airport terminates right at the front door, PERFECT! Clean enough, cheap, a good place to stay a few days. A LOT of things are easy to get to from here. No elevator, some rooms are very noisy at night, even all night sometimes, BUT you are in the heart of Bangkok and the night life here, so what else would you expect? Do not come here to rest, but do come to eat and drink and enjoy people from all over the world. Don't stay here to see Thailand, but do come for fun and excitement and the unique flavor of the city Bangkok.
