On the one hand the Riverfront Residence is a great place to stay. We had a 2 bedroom apartment - great for families and very spacious. Very clean and all you could want. Great restaurant with excellent breakfasts!!! Great view of the river & the passing boats (especially in the evening) Staff were absolutely fantastic & friendly. However... is part of a residential apartment complex which is great if you want to part of real Bangkok living (including washing hanging over balconies), the pool is shaded all day and the hotel is quite a distance from most places you would want to visit in Bangkok. Great place to stay to get away from the other tourists but better value elsewhere

Under 100Baht taxi fare back into the central precinct around Lumpini Park and the Night Bazaar - but not a lot of interest in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. All staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The apartment style rooms are of a great size, and comfortably furnished.

best hotel in bangkok, staff were very kind & polite! Very clean & the food is outstanding! A little bit pricey, but definitly worth it. I've been coming to riverfront since 04, twice a year. Great hotel!

The old butler was very mean to my child and started shouting at him. I am ashamed at his behaviour. The room was excellent nevertheless. The food needs improvement. the facilities are good. The hotel has a lot of fumes if you dare open the window.

“The bad things”: It’s to long way from centre. No boat connection, and 9 out of 10 Taxi can’t find the hotel. Riverfront is not the right way to represent the place. It’s not in the front to the river, but building number two in the line. The balconies are small and half of the view is direct to a very big and noisy construction site. The interior of the rooms is very simple and in wooden, light 1990 look. You pay for Internet, and most deposit 4000 baths. Even after 5 services visit it did not work – it’s not wireless in the room. The quality of the food you get from room service is real bad; the food is cold when arriving. It’s look dull, dry and taste in point of fact not very well. The cleanness of the rooms is medium, but if you look at the windows you have marks from children hands. In the bathroom the wall near the shower/bath have not been cleaned in many month. “The great things”: The hotel has a very kind Reception Manager, very smiling remember your name. The Restaurant Manager shows intents interest for the guest. “Manager on the spot management model”! The bell guys are very friendly. The few things there is in the kitchen are clean. The hotel offers shuttle service to the Skytrain - that’s function too. “The conclusion”: It’s a hotel on the very wrong spot, it’s like they a quit behind the service and quality level you get other places in the same level. PS! When you first have made a reservation you cannot change it to another hotel."

We had a 2Br apartment that looked out over the river and was great value for the price. The hotel is a little out of the main strip and there is not much around it, but they put on a shuttle service and it is only about Bht120 from the centre of town. The restaurant downstairs is good and reasonably priced and the staff were extremly helpful at all times. We would stay there again.

Clean and nice place to stay. Rooms are adequate and the view from the Chao Praya side is ideal! The newly constructed Rama III bridge is beautiful.

Good appartments complex, but little-bit overpriced.

BUT, far away from the BTS or MRT. The staff is SUPER nice and you will really enjoy your stay here. They do offer a free shuttle bus to the BTS if you can time your visits there around their 5 a day schedule. A plus is that you can even schedule them to pick you up at Chong Nonsi to return in the evening! Nice.

Really amazing room and facilities, a complete 1 BHK flat with a well-equipped kitchen, decent view and good facilities. Quite good service, prompt response to everything, being a vegetarian, food for me is always a problem in Thailand, but they incorporated more Vegetarian dishes in their breakfast the next day which was nice Staff is pretty ok, could have helped more when I had a problem exchanging currency, but that was more due to the language barrier that unfortunately is still a hurdle in Thailand. The biggest hurdle is the distance, however, Bangkok is well connected and cabs can get you anywhere, especially for people traveling with their families, this is an excellent choice.
