We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was generous in size, facilities and every service thought of. The restaurants in the hotel are surprisingly well priced as well as good food. The hotel staff were all delightful.

Best hotel so far. While The Peninsula isn't a cheap hotel, it is by far the best hotel I've ever staid at.

We stayed in a suite, the size and the view was great!! If the fitness center and steam room /pool facility can be updated then the stay would be more enjoyable! By the way Asiarooms have offer a great rate!!

Pennisula Hotel - Bangkok The location is convenient and they provide hotel boats to cross directly over where you can catch the sky train that will get you around the rest of Bangkok. It’s a beautiful hotel with outstanding service. I’d highly recommend it. Traveler's tip on dining Eat at the Vertigo Restaurant in the Banyan Tree Hotel. It’s an outdoor restaurant on top of a 65+ story building. The view is spectacular.

The Peninsula - An Elegant Oasis in Bangkok If someone comes up to you in the street and tells you something is closed and/or offers you advice on where to go or what to do, they might be running a scam on you. Talk to the hotel staff or have your own plans for each day, and stick to them. Be wary of unsolicited advice. Visit the Emerald and Reclining Buddhas, Wat Arun, and the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, at a minimum. Try Tom Yum Goong (a traditional Thai soup) and mango with sticky rice (a traditional Thai dessert). Enjoy!

We hadn't been to Bangkok for over eight years and decided to stay in a five star hotel. I was a little worried about the location of the hotel being on the other side of the river. However, a 2 min journey across the river on the hotel boat took you straight to a train or taxi. After a hard day shopping it was lovely to escape across the river to the oasis of the Hotel. Gorgous pool area with a lovely riverside breeze. The shops around Peninsula Quay are good value, excellent clean massage shops and cheap coffee shops. The staff service was impeccable. Can't wait for a return visit.

Great location - the short boat ride across the river is a treat. Excellent hotel would recommend to stay there!!

I love staying at the Peninsula. There is always a warm welcome and they try so hard to meet all the exacting requirements of their clients - without making it appear that is is any effort for them to do so. Now that the mattress has a new topping (or perhaps they bought new mattresses) the beds are also very comfortable. I enjoy the Spa and the treatments, but am surprised that they have still not moved the changing rooms/ showers or that they have not knocked through so that clients do not have to plod round the pool before and after treatments. I was also surprised to find that I was the only person dining in Jester's Restaurant at 8.30 on a Staurday night!
