As this hotel is intended as a second home, I DO understand why it is not as conveniently located as I wanted it to be. Taxis abound when coming from the hotel but do carry the map because most taxi drivers don't know where it is. Also, the BTS station cannot be reached on foot, though they provide a free shuttle leaving sporadically. The room size is great and facilities are quite nice. It feels as if you're at home--except that your house has a hotel size bed and the requisite amenities. Service is good and front desk is responsive to anything you ask. The only annoying thing is that it does not provide free Wi-fi in the rooms. At 2007/8...that should be a given. Overall, I would stay here if I were in Bangkok for a longer time. Its location makes it a bit of a trek for those who want to roam the city, though one can always view it as a respite from the noise of the center.

I did'nt enjoy my stay at the Oakwood Residence mainly because there is no black-out curtains in the room. By 6am, sunlight begins to filter through the lourvered windows, making sleep impossible.

We had a rather pleasant stay at the service apartment. We were upgraded to a 2 room apartment which was a very pleasant treat. On checking in we were also given a welcome drink of iced lemon grass which was very refreshing. Staff were friendly. Took awhile to get some more coffee and coffeemate but they eventually came around. Needed a Dr to attend to my travelling companion, and this too was attended to immediately. The only negative feedback is the buffet breakfast was very boring and needs to be improved otherwise, I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in BKK for a couple of nights but not more than that.

1st Class, only one small complaint, and that was the pool area is just TOO shaded, you have no chance of topping up the tan ! But the Complex is superb in all other respects !

The Oakwood Residence gave us a very pleasant stay. The swimming pool was nicely situated in a beautiful garden area with eating and a minimart plus a well equipped gym all in the same area surrounding the swimming pool. The rooms were very spacious and the shower was massive with a very strong shower. All in all we had a very good stay, thank you Oakwood.

Quite acceptable, if you are frequent visitor to Bangkok, the location is quite nice and quiet. Dining for breakfast is also OK. Only I suggest to use curtain to block morning sunshine.

Location more out of City Centre then I thougt. Taxi-meter to Silom or Sukhumvit or MKB area at least 100 Baht. Depends on route taxi and time (like always in BKK) For the rest: splendid room and service and one of the best ABF I ever had in BKK. FYI: I stayed already in JW Marriott, Landmark, Peninsula, Dusit Thani and Pan Pacific. Comparing Room, Service, pool area and ABF, I recommend these appartments as very similar. Price-Value excellent! Location: as long as you have to do business in that area OK, if you want entertainment: no good!

The Oakwood City Residence was an absolute delight - I would recommend this residence to anyone going to Bangkok. The rooms were clean, the bar was great, the music played at happy hour was also good. The only problem was a young fellow at the front desk - he did not know a thing!! Not sure why he was hired!!
