The hotel is a bit outdated, though the renovations seemed to be underway. Two main drawbacks were stale odour in the room when the aircon was not on and the location of pool. Pool was otherwise lovely, but on the only side where you could get some sun was a restaurant! Free boatride to the city every 30 min was a nice touch and food in the restaurants tasty.

Stayed in this 4-star hotel located on the Chao Phraya River. There are regular (free) hotel river-boat shuttles from the hotel's pier to the BTS sky-train and river-boat junction at "Saphan Taksin" (next to Shangri-La and Peninsula hotels). The hotel's staff are friendly and the Thai and Continental breakfast delicious. Guests can listen to musicians playing Thai music in the lobby of the hotel in the evenings. This is generally by a group that belts of some heady Western music.

This hotel often makes special deals which may look very cheap indeed, but it is located really in the middle of nowhere. You are depending on Taxi all the time. They offer a shuttle to the closest sky Train station, but frequency is very variable due to lack of customers. Also in the reverse direction (sky train to hotel) you can best forget it and take a taxi again. Available restaurants are average at best and overpriced compared to what is available around Bangkok. Rooms are good if you don't take the cheapest and you have great views on the Chao Phraya river if U have a room that side. Even with cheap deal , this is not a really good choice hotel.

Stayed there for 5 nights Oct 914th 2007. Very nice suite for 100$ (including a free extra bed) which I booked on Hotelclub. They checked me in early at 9am too. Food was good. But distance from the city could put some off. Cab costs 100200 Baht to go to Sukhumvit, Prathunam, etc. And if you are in a traffic jam, meter runs like crazy. Staff are extremely polite and always smiling. No shopping around the place. Great breakfast buffet.
