I have stayed at this hotel about 100 nights over the past 4 years. Originally I paid less than 1000Tb for double room and breakfast but now it is more than 2000Tb and is well over priced. Stayed 2 weeks before Christmas and breakfast service has dropped markedly. No wholemeal breads, no pastries, no bacon, no black sauces, no sugar on the tables, no tomato juice. The burners under the food dishes are usually off by 9.00am so if you are late for breakfast it is always cold. The bathrooms need a good tidy up and repaint and there always seems to be spare beds in the passageways. There is also construction at the rear of the hotel and at the front and this will continue until at least the end of 2009.

I stayed at this hotel on seven separate trips because it is central to major business and shopping centers. Nice size rooms, recently renovated. 100-restaurants within 500-feet. Streets come alive at night with hundreds of vendors. Custom clothing adjacent at reasonable prices. SAFE area for evening walks along major streets.

Well it was fantastic time to stay there with my family.I love the hotel. however I recommend that if the agent could give a better price for the young couples ( students) like me. because their budget is limited according to their allowance you see. Good transaction! Regards

We stayed there for three days. The hotel as well as the rooms were a bit worn down. They were refurbishing at the time, so a bit noisy. Except from that, friendly and efficient service, very good location and the breakfast buffet was good.

After booking the hotel i read some nightmare reviews but i was on a budget and didn't have a huge choice. I was there for 2 days, one night and needed somewhere to get my haed down and next to my friends who were 5 staring it in a suite in a hotel seconds down the road! The hotel was fine for what i was looking for. Had kettle, mini bar, safe which could also hold a laptop. Only downfall was the windows were filthy. So much so you couldn't see out. They are building a 5 star hotel opposite and it was hard to even see the construction! I didn't use the facilities or have breakfast but I would use the hotel again as it was in a great location and good price!

Would help if reception staff spoke or had a better grasp of English

I've stayed at the Mahattan on a couple of trips to Bangkok. The deluxe rooms are much better than the standard rooms. The location is very good as it is just off Sukhumvit Road and near Nana Skytrain station.

I found the Manhattan very expensive according to what you go in the way of services. The breakfast was very poor with little variety of foods. Room service was very poor. Every day there was something missing in the way of tea bags, coffee, shampoo, and towels. The front dest was not very accomodating. Very little information was given out on how to get to various tourist attractions, rather they tried to push you into using their tour services.
