Louis' Tavern Hotel

Although it was a short stay (transit) between airports the location (a few minutes taxi ride from Don Maung) means that the location is very convenient. On arrival the staff were very curtious and helpful. The room was very clean and to a good standard with an efficient room service. I didn't get the opportunity to use all the facilities and amenities at the hotel but yes I would use the hotel again. Ian McCletchie

We stayed here Oct 2005. Clean & comfy rooms. King size bed with crisp & clean sheets. Shower over bath, but shower head very high for us tall people (over 6 feet) which is always a bonus. The a/c is a bit noisy but very cool. We could hear some planes overhead but not enough to keep us awake. Breakfast was yummy & very quick service. Nice hotel for a night stop over, only short taxi ride from airport.

The hotel staff was courteous the room was clean, good service and definitely stay thre again.

LT is perfect if you're coming in early and/or leaving late. Staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Thai-farang breakfast buffet is hearty. Aquarium fish in lobby are spectacular. Though they didn't pick us up when we arrived at 7 a.m., next day's 2:30 p.m. ride to airport (included in rate) got us there within 10 minutes (driver was excellent). Lively restaurant/bar around the corner, and bustling neighborhood featuring plenty of eating opportunities further enhance LT's appeal.

Stayed here on night (July 18th 2005). The hotel staff was courteous and the room was clean. Good place to stay if you have an early flight out of Bangkok because it is very close to the airport. The large distance from city center makes this hotel an unfavorable place to stay for visiting bangkok. It is only useful for airport travels.

Stayed here one night prior to leaving Bangkok. Rooms are clean, comfortable and the air-con is very quiet (a first on this trip) so had a very good nights sleep. If you want to be near the airport for getting home the next day LT is highly recommended, not really suitable as a tourist base though.

The place is close to the airport which makes it very convenient. Hotel staff was great and the breafast adequate. The pool and hallways are a little shabby but the lobby and dining room are nice. Close to a functional nieghborhood with street vendors and bars and restaurants. Taxis service available to anywhere in Bangkok and we took a cab to Cha am for about 2000 bht one way (170 km). Would likely stay here again.

Pros: Good value for 1 night stay. Big and clean room with almost a full set of toiletries plus a bath robe. Queen size bed and comfortable mattress. Cons: No light on the dressing table. Very OLD bath and rug towels. THE OTHER END OF THE BATHTUB FLOOR IS TOO SLIPPERY! I FELL AND KNOCK MY HEAD ON IT WHILE TRYING TO GRAB A TOWEL! VERY DANGEROUS! NEED TO BE SERIOUSLY INSPECTED AND FIXED!
