Great value hotel if you want to stay in that area good rooms in a quite area with good public transport services but plan on at least 20mins boat ride to get to pratanam,30-40 mins bus to croc farm and muang boran anceint city and fish market not a great location to see the main tourist sites in bkk but if you want to stay in the area, its great please note that you only get free breakfast with nights booked on asia rooms and not if you walk-in(costs 200 B) LOTS OF SHOPPING NEARBY

I had a bad time staying in this hotel. It's my first time and its so ridiculous that the hotel went blackout on the 3rd June 2008, 10.00pm - 1.00am. I have an exhibition opening on the next day and I have to stay at the lobby with other guests with no choice climbing up the stairs to 11th floor to my room. I am quite dissappointed with this hotel offered at this price of USD 49.00. There are so many mosquitoes at the lobby area. During my checkout period, I even asked for a rebate/compensation on my hotel room but what they tell me is NO. The hotel location is too crowded with students and it's not really convenient to go to the city. You will need to pay 100 Baht ++ to reach City Area.

Nice hotel to stay, didnt like it on the top floor that much coz some pump is standing higher. If it works properly you will not hear him that much. But if it goes down (dont know wether it was a mailfunction, but i think so), then it drives you nuts by switching on/off. When it happened the pump was shut down and later started again, but was also switched on to early(4am) and could call again. But ok. Hope temporary. CLose to canal which smels, spcialy when boats come through, so with lower floors and open window, you are not happy. Toilet is asian standard, too small, should be replaced. There are some more things that could do better, due to wearness. Though the breakfast was more and less every day the same, but good. You could pick for asian or western, but i thought it was ok! Hotel is in a little alley placed in the back, so no noise from the road and traffic, just walk about 100 meter and there is bangkok. People were very helpfull, nice. English is to ecpected everybody talks, but its not so. Have patient and use some positive body language, they are willing to help. Before i go home, will go back there for remaining time to wait for flight.

There was a mix up with the room, however this was sorted out the next day. The staff were very helpful, especially the restuarant staff. I would recommend paying a little extra to upgrade your room, and this is comparitive to a 3 class hotel in NZ. Within walking distance of malls, cinemas, night(street) market.

We stayed in the exec suite room for 5 days which is a twin rooms type with 2 toilets, two fridges, 2 tv .Not a flashy hotel but for $60 a night ,worth the money and you get to see the real Bangkok by the small river. The problem was that lower floors from 11th down have no wireless access so i have to go down to the lobby. A long walk to the main road, although safe, not suitable for older folks. I would suggest they put a golf cart type of transportation to drive guests around. Will be back and hope they improve above soon.

"We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The position was ideal. The only thing is the menu in the breakfast for 5 days is the same all the time. We will be pleased to stay again and would recommend it to friends. "

I enjoyed staying in the Dynasty Hotel Bangkok which I found and book via Internet not knowing that this hotel was in the middle of now where (no other hotels around, no shops) along a canal with durty water (although I enjoyed visiting the city on the boat). I think I was the only tourist in the neighbourhood, I had my meals on the street surrounded by Thai people, nice experience and in the Hotel there where only Asian tourists and at the reception Desk they could hardly speak English (funny...). The hotel is good value for the price.

there are things i could mention to help u improve on your sevice standard but i think you should hire an independent consultant to do an imprompted check on your front desk and dinning staff service standard to get a feel of how well or poorly they are actually performing. but i do like to mention this though. i have been travelling for years for business and for pleasure but i have never came across a hotel that charges their guest for a fee (50Bahts) for borrowing a dinning plate. worse yet, after the (i guess he must be the one in-charge that night) supervisor refused to lend me his dinning plate as I requested, he demanded that i give him 50 bahts or no plate. of course, no normal human being would oblige to such a request so i refused to give him 50 bahts and said that it is ok i do not want the plate anymore. moreover, while this was taking place, 2 dinning staff stood near by were actually giggled over the whole incident and making me feel so embarassed. anyway, the money is mine so i will take it and use it where it is appreciated with sincerity. good luck!
