This is my first time staying in Ramada D'MA hotel. My family stayed at Bangkok Palace (the hotel next to Ramada D'MA Hotel) when we had our annual family holiday back in 2006. Ramada D'MA was recommended by my wife, whom had stayed in D'MA Pavillion Hotel (old name)before when she had her holiday with her child care centre in 2006. It's value for money. I recommended this hotel to my church home cell group when we had our cell annual gathering in bangkok after our church camp in Cha-Am in June 2008. It was a pleasant stay for all of us.

Not satisfied as a business hotel I had to change my room 3 times at the first 12 hours in order to get to a room with cabled internet service. The first time was my own fault, but the other two times was entirely the hotel service staff’s fault! I have requested for a room with cabled internet service, but they kept on getting me into rooms that were not. When I indicated that internet security is very important to me and wireless internet is NOT what I want, they told me wireless internet is the same as the cabled internet in terms of security like they had not heard what I said. In addition, one of the staff member was going to get me a room that had no internet AT ALL!!! Fortunately, I did remember their internet guy said that only 22 floor and up has the cabled internet, so I stopped her wrong room assignment before I need to move the 4th time!!! When I want to mail a package with the staff’s help, the staff told me to do it myself even though their service indicated clearly of the mail services. Then, they told me I have to wait for the Bell Captain to help me and he only works from 7 am to 3 pm!!! There were no indication in their customer service manual for that time limitation!!! Anyway, the location is fine. The cleaningness is fine. The breakfast food is passable, but the hotel next door is much better, and that is the Bangkok Princess Hotel. I heard the price is very close to this hotel. Traveler's tip for business travelers For a business trip, the hotel service is very lacking!!! The internet services are also very unstable for both wired and wireless internet services with constant "Can’t find server" error for the 5 days of my stay. No iron and ironing board in room and have to do the stuff at hotel service room. The iron is not modern with the steams and heat settings, so prepare to compensate for it if you don’t like to use the hotel laudry services like I don’t (some hotel ruined my clothes 2 times).

Worth going back to The overall hotel is great...clean, good customer service especially at the restaurant. The room is excellent, clean and well kept. The housekeeping service is great, towels are always clean and bathroom well maintained. Overall, I recommend this hotel. Although the area outside hotel is not so tourist friendly, hardly have any restaurants but of walking distance to all the shopping. Traveler's tip on shopping This hotel is walking distance to Pratunam market and malls. Be cautious on the taxis and "tuk-tuk" tricycles, they would take you around for your buck!

My stay at D'Ma was excellence, yet again. I was appalled with the change of blanket to duvet on both double bed and twin bed we had in our rooms which accomodates family nicely and comfortably. The room and bathroom are neat and clean for the price we pay during low season, is worth the money for. Housekeeping is efficient. Breakfast-nothing to shout out loud but i was puzzled with the lady cook at egg-station whom did not comprehend my 'sunny side up'order.?? The overall experience i've gotten was fantastic despite the fact that we were mostly out. At least the clean beds are something we do look forward to after a long day of shopping. The locality of hotel, away from hustle and bustle does offers wide range of authentic Thai street food although not entirely hygenic but it's yummy. Shopping is about 8mins walk to Indra Square then leading to Pratunam markets.
