Bangkok Centre Hotel

We recently completed a 30-day vacation in Thailand and used Bangkok Centre as our base of operations. We stayed for a total of 8 nights. The rooms were of good size, clean and decently appointed. They also offer free, long-term luggage storage. This was a huge help as we didn't need to drag all our luggage to our various other destinations within Thailand. The best thing about the hotel is the proximity to the train station and subway station. If you plan on using the Thai Railway System or public transport in Bangkok, you can't beat the location. The only negatives were the lackluster breakfast buffet and the strong odor of cigarette smoke in our room.

This hotel is well placed near the central railway station Hualumphong. It is convenient to the MBK shopping centre and is good value for a short stay.

Great location for Hualampong station, friendly and good services. The rooms have good facilities and nice bathrooms, but they could do with a bit of a makeover.

Our stay was pleasant as the hotel is conveniently located and staff were accomodating. Breakfast was good but timings could be extended as one tends to see Bangkok by night hence rather difficult to get up early!

Hi Asia Rooms, It's a perfect arrangmemt from online reservation to arriaval to Hotel. Hotel warmly allowed us to check-in earlier to the room at about 10:30am. It was a nice accomodation for 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children (age 4 &7) to stay in this Triple room. Hotel is located in the excellent place, just infront of Metro entrance and opposite Central Railway station & near to China town. It is also easy access to old town where a lot of tourist spots. It is also 5min away from the highway to new airport. It took about 40min from Airport to Hotel. The hotel's bath room is small, hot & cold water mixer is very old & sometime it was unable to adjust & close properly. Sometime, the turing on/off the valve caused a loud noise in the middle of the night. I've complained to Hotel on the cigrattee smell from aircon grill. It's unbearable for us. I've to use air freshener whenever I staty or come back to the room. It may not be the 100% Hotel's fault. Somking from irresponsible people from adjacent rooms or staff may have caused such problem. You would notice that the whle corridor was filled with cigrattee smell. Hotel must enforce the in-house rule of "No Smoking" with due deligence to all Hotel stayers, regardless of natinalities or races. No comments on the Hotel's breakfast. All the prepartation are well acceptable. In-house Taxi services for site-seeing & short trips outside Bangkok is very convenient, safe and charges are reasonable. If Hotel imporve/ strictly enforce on the issue of smoking in the premises, I'll come back and stay as it is located in the very convenient place. Good position with subway at the front door, well priced and good buffet breakfast.

Good location next to MRT station and main railway station.

If you want a room with a clean bed, this hotel will do the job. But it's not any better than that. For the same money, there are nicer places to stay in Bangkok. Breakfast was plentiful, if not particularly nice. Bed was clean, aircon ok, bathroom clean but shabby. I would have no particular problems if I had to stay here again, but I could say the same about staying at my nephew's student digs!

The non-smoking room given to us had to be changed as there was not hot water in the shower room. Size of shower room is rather small. There was no tea/coffee making facilites and the television which is an old one should be upgraded to a LCD TV. Breakfast Buffet was a so so, but there is plenty of food to choose from. The location of the hotel is a plus point as we are just steps away from the Metro (Hua Lam Phong) and walking distance to China Town where we could buy the Lunar New Year goodies like Shitake Mushrooms, fish maw, dried squid and there are many Chinese Restaurants in the vicinity.
