I loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and extremely clean with very nice decor. Having a washing machine is a real bonus only some drying facilities like a clothes horse/airer would be handy so you didn't have clothes hanging all around the room drying. The location is very handy with a 3 min walk to the skytrain or subway.

We first arrived at the airport( Don Muang) taxi service found that they have not heard of this new Residence. They almost brought me to the Silom one. Luckily I was adamant enough for them to go to Asoke BTS. Once there, we were greeted by friendly but probably inexperienced front desks execs. But if theres any consolation, the beauty, vastness, appliances in the room (deluxe suite) fits us to a tee. However the walk from the residence to the main room is quite a stretch! For those with kids(like me, I had 3 travelling with me), do make sure that you get the front desks execs to help you get a cab in and he will make sure that the taxi put their meters on! The night duty manager, a guy, always helps me willingly and he is very good! Even when I am going to the BedSupper Club, he gets a cab for me and hubby and made sure the taxi guy brings us there with meter on. There are 24 hour shops nearby and since we had kitchens in our suite, we cook ourselves as there are not much Halal food around. But there are shopping bazaar along Sukhumvit main road and you will enjoy haggling the price (I did!!). We took rides in the Sky Train, Tuk Tuk and Taxis. Even for families outing, Sky Train is recommended! Mind the traffic jam though if you are taking taxis. It goes on for hours!!! Take the skytrain. You have to. Its only 5 mins ride from MBK (National Stadium station) to Nana or Asoke Station. Cost only 20 Baht. Tuk tuk is ok but you have to haggle the price but its a must experience for first timers! All in all, its a very good experience for us first timers and the new airport is not that far away, only 20 mins max! I enjoyed my stay in Bangkok not to mention all the antics that paved along the way. Very classic and unique. Definitely going again..
