Great location This very 1000(?)room hotel may not have been refurbished for some time but it clearly was a very grand hotel in the 1970s. We had a large light bright comfortable room. Great bed. Paper delivered every morning and being up on the 14th floor - views over the seedier side of Bangkok but views none the less. It is very conveniently located with a Skytrain stop that has direct access into the foyer. The hotel has an almost retro 'chicness' about it and 24 hour bars and restaurants. We thought it was great value and would stay again.

Wish they can be more flexible on late check out needs

The hotel was very busy when we arrived, so it took a while to register. We arrived earlier than our book-in time and were able to check into out room which was great as we were able to freshen up before heading out again. The location is ideal, can get straight to the skytrain, and plenty of taxis around the area. The internet facilities are very expensive to use and would recommend finding an internet cafe somewhere on the street. I noticed a few nearby, but had to use the hotels as we had a problem with our reservation and needed to reprint our voucher. Apart from that the hotel was good value for money and would use again.

Poor service, very small rooms and, as noted previously, very unhelpful when there was a theft of an ipod from a bedroom by cleaning staff. In short, there is much better accomodation in Bangkok for the price.

Ok, but overpriced The location is very handy, but the hotel is simply overpriced for what it is. It has all the basics, but is a bit rundown, and they totally overcharge you for breakfast and internet use. Most people would be better off going for a much cheaper guesthouse, or a slightly more expensive really nice hotel.

Asia Hotel had always been a convenient hotel in Bangkok city. A linking bridge to the sky train station and near walking distance to MBK, Siam Discovery etc ... I had been a loyal patron of Asia Hotel since 1997 at times booked under my next of kin's name and had always been happy with the services. However, the recent stay from 11th - 15th February 2009 proved to be just satisfactory. Hotel guests should be treated at least with a welcome drink upon checking in and this will ultimately leave a pleasant impression in the first place. Secondly, there were no complimentary mineral waters offered to the guest in its individual room and guests are charged 55 Baht for every bottle they consumed. Maybe the management can look into these little gestures and that will surely improve the service standards of the Asia Hotel. I will still be patronising Asia Hotel in the very near future and hope to see an improve in its service standards. Thank you. TAN HIANG LIM RAYMOND Room #858

Excellent It's worth to book all your tours to travel agency or else you will be lost in Bangkok. I reckoned it's one of our best holiday so far. Thanks, Hayley

The Asia Hotel is an excellent choice while staying in Bangkok. It is directly connected to the Sky Train and trust me that is of huge importance. The traffic in BKK is some of the worst in the world, so why not just float over the top of it in...
