Dongdaemoon Hotel(ex:Best Western Dongdaemoon)

I and my friend, from Cambodia, was selected to joint the seminar in the central bank of S.Korea, Seoul, from 21-30 June, 2009, sponsored by the Central Bank of Cambodia. So we both will finding the hotel ourself. My friend told me that he knew the Best Western Hotel Dongdaemun near the central bank of S.korea, its price is suitable. We would like to ask you that is there a double room( two beds per a room) and how price per a day? If its price is suitable we'll agree, but if the price is expensive we'll disagree. The hotel has a very fair price and is very well located, near subway, nice locations and an airport bus stop.

This was our first trip to Seoul, and we wanted something that was reasonably priced, clean and in a convenient location. Best Western GangNam provided the first two: it is not the cheapest in town, but I will say that it is good overall value for money; the room was clean and tidy, with all the necessary features. The only thing that lets this hotel down is its location. It's a 10-15 minutes walk from the nearest subway station, and this same walk will feel even longer at the end of a long day of sightseeing, especially when the walk back to the hotel is mainly uphill! But if you don't mind this, this is generally a good hotel with friendly staff. When I say that, don't expect 5-star customer service, but the team is at least friendly and willing to help when asked. Will I go back again? Yes, but not until I've tried somewhere else in Seoul.

It's really a very convenient place to stay, less than 1 min. to the subway station & close to the shopping areas. The hotel rooms & price are ok for tourist & short period of stay. Except the service & attitude of the bellboy needs to be upgrade.

Service is 5 star, Nice modern clean and private hotel,very accesible to public transportation.

Everything about the hotel was good, except sometimes I would smell cigarette smoke coming through the air conditioning unit. The hotel and the rooms were very clean. The free hi-speed internet was very nice, too. Thank you, and I am sure that I will see you again.

The room is too dark, and not so clean. The location is good, but very noisy. The people there fast can not speak any English.

Location is good. Except that there is no air-conditioning at night. According to hotel, small scale hotel like theirs in Korea switches off the air-conditioning to save energy. How to sleep without the air-conditioning? Room is also dark & gloomy.

I have read a lot of comments about this hotel so I didn't expect a lot but I was surprised of their helpful service after my stayed. I took the midnight flight so I arrived there in the morning about nine o'clock and they let me to check in early, at 10:30am. I didn't like the room which they gave me because the last customers smoked in the room so it full of the smell and it was a twin bedroom and I requested a double bedroom. Therefore, I asked for the other room and they gave me a double bedroom which was big and nice (except the carpet which was not very clean and very old). Their English is not bad and they even showed me how to get to the Airport bus stop when I asked for. They are very nice and helpful. The location is so perfect and it is just right next to the subway station and also there is a 7-eleven beside it which is very convenient. I think it is good for the budget travellers and couples without kids and I probably will stay in this hotel again.
