My wife and I stayed at the New Kukje hotel during our transit stop-over in Seoul. We knew this was a budget hotel as such and didn't expect too much. However even our modest expectations turned out too high. The staff were not friendly at all and gave minimal service. The hallway was poorly lit and room was fairly small and cold (though we did get it heated eventually). The double sized bed was rock hard and the pillows the same. The sheets had that "not quite clean" feeling to them, so we slept with our clothes on. The bathroom was average but the bath was a good size. There is no internet access and a poor selection of channels on the TV with bad picture contrast. It has been quite some time since I was eager to leave a hotel but we left as soon as possible (about 7am) the next morning. The check-out service was poor. if you still are interested in staying at this hotel, it is not easy to find. It takes about an hour from Inchon Airport to the City Hall stop via the Airport Bus (9100 won one way). We spent another 30 minutes wandering around a couple of blocks (at night) trying to find the hotel. Eventually, we found it hidden behind another building roughly across from the KoreanAna hotel. The pick-up for the airport bus is in front of the KoreanAna hotel In summary I do NOT recommend this hotel, unless you have no other alternative in accommation or don't care where you sleep.

The lady in the check-in counter is nice. She even let us checked in at about 10am, when there is room available. The toilet in the lobby is horrible. When I went in, it was very slippery & small. I even fell over on the slippery floor of the toilet.

We actualy had difficulties in finding the hotel at first, since it was hiding inside the main road, however once we've found it, the location is not too bad actually. Shuttle bus does not stop exactly in front of the hotel. we had to go to koreana hotel to catch the shuttle bus to airport, but ut's a very short walk, about 5-10 minutes. Most of the staffs are not fluent in English. No Internet connection, room is ok for what you pay. bathroom is clean and standard size.

the first night we had to sleep in a room without window. The carpet and furniture were in a state of total decay. The next two nights we had a room with a window, but the standard of carpet furniture and bathroom were not much better. Don't go there!!!!!

Wonderful location near riverwalk, palace, art museums. Close to subway and across the street from the airport shuttle. Easy reservations, adequate english speaking desk employees. Hallway carpet needs cleaning, the room was exceptionally clean and quiet.

For the value of the money charged, this is hotel that I'd strongly recommend in terms of location, service, friendliness, etc. As a business center, the facilities could do with some improvements, especially, with regard to internet connection (in English) and printing & related services.

INITIALLY, THE ROOMs OFFERED WERE SMALL ROOMS, VERY DEPRESSING, STINKING OF CIGARETTE SMOKE AND WITHOUT ANY WINDOW OR VENTILATION OR NATURAL LIGHT. IT WAS ONLY WHEN WE INSISTED THAT THE ROOMS WITH WINDOWS WERE PROVIDED. THE ROOM DID NOT HAVE FACILITY LIKE A HOT WATER CATTLE. THE STAFF WAS CO-OPERATIVE BUT LANGUAGE WAS A BIG PROBLEM.

The hotel is in a good location. Plenty of places to eat very close by. Huge Trendy shopping area / night market about 3 - 4 blocks away, easy walk. Train station 1 block. Hotel Breakfast was poor by western standards. We ate out every day after the first breakfast. Buffet was on the menu as a choice but was never available the whole week I was there. Rooms are a bit small and dark but clean and modern. Plasma screen TV. Staff friendly and helpful. Front desk were OK but lacked knowledge on where attractions were located. Ask for Black taxi to airport do not take the hotel car offered. Taxi takes credit card and was more comfortable and cheaper. I would stay here again. Location was very good. Easy and interesting walk to temples , gardens, shops etc
