The Mandarin Oriental Singapore was a great hotel. It is definitely one of the top 5 hotels in Singapore. I was impressed from the second I was picked up from the airport to the time when I was dropped off. The hotel is very contemporary. The lobby was small, but beautifully decorated. The rooms are very spacious and are also very equipped. The Mandarin Oriental Hotels that I had previously stayed in were The Oriental Bangkok and The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai, so the service at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore was a little less than what I had imagined. The service was still very very friendly and everything we had asked for was done for us immediately. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Singapore.

The Oriental in Singapore was recently refurbished but the fact that it is new isn't just why this hotel scores top marks.

The room reservation officer was patient and explained to the best of her ability the constraints she faced when allocating the rooms. I managed to get the complimentary car park coupon on the following day with ease. The staff was helpful to obtain one for me from another hotel although they had run out of car park coupons.

It's been a while since I stayed at this hotel but since I my wife was required to stay there to attend a conference, I saw it as yet another reason to accompany her to Singapore.

The Oriental is good for corporate travellers that are not in the hotel all day. Also if your shopping or just having a stopover it is good. It is not the sort of hotel that you hang around all day. The food and service is at the top of it's range. The rooms are very nicely sized. I am a very big fan of the Mandarin Oriental chain and I think that this hotel is value for your money.

Try to do too much on the surface and totally ignore details like (purposely or not) forgot to provide receipt upon checkout. With 380 SGD per night, the room requires you to pay additional 30 SGD for 24 internet access. And when there...
