Regent Hotel Singapore (The)

very good hotel - bit noisy in the room we were in. Service in line with expectations for this class of hotel. Location a bit out of the way but taxis are cheap in hotel. Good value for money highly recommended.

Location quite close to city center (5 - 10 min. from Orchard Rroad), nice pool Currently strong construction noises given an extension project of a nearby shopping mall.

Comfortable, quiet, out of the way but close enough to Orchard The food court in Tanglin Mall (connected to the hotel) provides a good range of tasty and inexpensive food.

My stay at the Regent Singapore was almost 2 years to the day, but has me longing to go back to Singapore and stay at this hotel. The hotel was very conviently located to shopping, restuarants and other entertainment and the staff was friendly. In addition, the hot chocolate croissant in the morning were divine.

The wifi signal was extremely weak for a 5 * hotel that charges high prices for a room and then charges for wifi on top this is very poor standard of service. Concierge staff were very helpful but could not solve the problem. Otherwise a great hotel i will stay in again.

Room is too small for the price that we have paid. Slightly shabby.

although the rooms are small by US standards, the price is quite good for Asia. One thing I had to learn though was that in Singapore the wait staff will not come to your table until you wave at them. Once I learned the local custom on food service, I was much happier with the level of service.

The price is good for the value the bar is poor and the entrance should be repeated throughout other parts of the Hotel.

The Regent is very conveniently located, near to Orchard Road shopping - within walking distance. Quiet area with green spaces around. Staff are very polite and professional. Breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful with such a wide choice of asian, european, and western foods. Fresh fruit in season. We lucked out going at Christmas the weather was wonderful. Will definitely go back - and Regent will be our 'place to stay'. Great value for the money.

Rooms are large but the deco needs massive updating esp for the price they are charging. Otherwise, location is fantastic esp if you want to be close to Orchard and Tanglin area.
