Large, clean & luminous room, friendly staff, convenient location (10 mn walk to MTS Little India. A bit overpriced tough (like every other place in SG) : 135 US$/ night extra 30 US$/ day for Internet (Wifi & Ethernet) 22 US$ / person for breakfast. Don't forget to add the 17% Tax & Service extra ! For that price, not even a complementary bottle of mineral water was included :-( In addition, expect to pay 10-15 U$ for each taxi ride to downtown or airport, 20US$ to reach the Zoo. There was no western-styled shopping mall near by (Oriental only) but plenty of Indian - Chinese restaurant to eat . But overall, it was a nice stay and I recommend this hotel.

Located in the heart of Little India this hotel is a bit of the beaten track as regards Singapores other tourist 'hot spots'.However with taxis so inexpensive in Singapore, theres no valid reason to discount it becouse of location.

I checked in sometime last year in December with my fiance. My backpacker friends have been to this hotel and they 'definitely recommend' it to me. The thing was, my visa to Thailand was quite slow in getting processed and we were delayed in this HORIFFIC hotel for 3 nites. It started out with our rooms were book for the Deluxe Room category, but they checked us into the 'MOST AMAZINGLY DUMPY ROOM' in the Superior Room category. (I know what's my monies worth, coz I've been in the hotel industry.)Then it started out with the longest queue at the Reception counter. Man!! It was like queueing up to get the EPL tickets!!! I was obviously pissed. Though we requested for a King bed, what we got was 2 single beds. It didn't matter much to me, coz I know all these are subject to availability upon check in. Later on, the night before we checked out, I requested from the Housekeeping Department for a jug of water, but they told me it's closed at 11pm!! Isn't they're supposed to be open 24 hrs?? That puzzled me enough. The worst part was,at the time of checking out, they said something about my fiance's credit card slip missing from the paper. And the receptionist by the name of Suhailey was rude. Maybe she didn't get enough sleep or something. She definitely had attitude problem and we repeated ask her where was the credit card slip. Mind you, these little things can be a problem in the future, especially with credit cards. She curtly told us, "That amount verified Ma'am, nothing is charged and we will just informed the bank." Lady, how do you know which bank to call, and can you ever guarantee that nothing bad will happen? My parents just checked out from this yucky hotel on 28/11/06 and they told us this yucky gross hotel is 're-branding', becoming into a more classier hotel or sorts of. Well, I can say; if you are to become more of a classier sorts, revamped your rooms, Housekeeping Dept, Reception and above all, I say, this hotel ain't even worth 2 stars!

The hotel is currently being refurbished from it's previous state and is generally better now than when it was the "New Park". I have stayed here many times and enjoy the location near great shopping. Construction noise was muted but present daily.

We stayed in Parkroyal for 5 nights in Jan 2008. We found this hotel to be very clean and very close to Farrer Park MRT. Also the Staff vere very friendly and went out of their way to help.
