The Singapore Hilton is a modern 24 storey hotel situated on the bustling Orchard Road in the heart of Singapore's commercial, shopping and entertainment district, three kilometres from Chinatown. The property features 423 air conditioned guestrooms decorated in cool hues with contemporary furnishings, light beech wood panelling and simple white linens. The modern design concept has a distinctive Asian touch and all rooms include ensuite bathrooms with bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and hairdryers; in room amenities also include satellite TV, direct dial phones, and minibars. The hotel's impressive rooftop swimming pool located on the 24th floor is surrounded by lush landscaped tropical foliage and offers magnificent views of the bustling Orchard Road. The poolside is also a great venue for evening functions. Guests can recharge and refresh at the hotel's fitness centre which features a fully equipped gymnasium, aerobic studio, sauna and steam room. Access is complimentary for all hotel guests and personal training and massage are also available. Dining options include an informal brasserie style restaurant serving international dishes and a smart oyster bar restaurant with an open kitchen. The hotel also has a cool modern bar, a healthy eating juice bar and café and a patisserie deli café. Business guests can enjoy access to meeting and conference rooms as well as a ballroom accommodating up to 2,000 people. Practical amenities include on site parking (surcharge), currency exchange and laundry and valet services. Orchard Street has many shops, restaurants and bars as well as entertainment venues. Within three kilometres of the hotel guests can reach the Botanical Gardens, Singapore Arts Museum and the Sri Mairamman Temple. Singapore Changi Airport is 18 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes. Renovation Notice: The hotel is currently renovating select guestrooms. During this time, guests should expect some noise disturbance from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The estimated completion date is February, 2008.

The location of the hotel is perfect... the staff nice. Had a really great experience at the Harbour Grill!!! The french Chef is wonderful. Can t wait to come back

The Hilton Singapore does not seemed to reward Hilton Diamond members. I was not given any room upgrade nor access to the Executive Lounge even though I was a Diamond member and had personally spoken to the Hotel manager.

Better options in Singapore Regular travelers will know that Hilton hotels are hit and miss, some are good but many have seen better days. This hotel needs a refurbishment. The service was pretty average for the region.

We thought we'd treat ourselves to a 5 Star experience and ended up drawing the conclusion that the Hilton continues to survive on the strength of past reputation rather than quality of experience.Rooms are small and outdated - grubby grout, dull decor etc. There were no suitable lounge facilities for use while we awaited taxi. The pool area is appalling for a hotel of this rating.Shoddy furnishings amidst scraps of artificial turf surround a small pool. Very grim indeed. The breakfast they got right.Overall, we were disappointed and have stayed in much more welcoming 4 star hotels. I understand they are in the process of redecoration - the sooner the better - but we'll leave The Hilton off our list next time.

Newly renovated rooms Good experience after recent renovation. My family and I just returned from our 5 days trip and have no complains abt this hotel. We stayed on the 8/F and all three rooms were clean and relatively spacious in Asian terms. We also rented the executive room which was huge with 2 bathrooms, living room and very spacios master bedroom. The breakfast on the 22/F for executive room and at the cafe for deluxe rooms were good. Very good location with connecting path to the Four Season hotel. We recommend this hotel.

Excelent service! We were able to check in at 7 am, didn't have to wait until usual 12 pm. It was very nice since we were just after 12-hour flight. Storage room and refreshment shower event after check-out are available. So next day after checking out we got a refreshment before taking a taxi to catch our evening flight to Sydney.
