Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel

We had a 12am flight and needed a hotel for the night. We opted for the Grand Mercure instead of the Changi village even though the latter is closer to the airport because the trip advisor reviews were better. We arrived and Changi airport checked at the hotel info booth regarding the hotel shuttle and were on the shuttle 15 minutes later (they run every 30 minutes) check in was fast and courteous but the room was a major disappointment. The furnishings were very worn looking but what really bugged us was that the carpet was filthy, the furniture covered in a thin layer of dust, the bedside table had a spill down its side which had not been wiped, the bath tube had several coin size chipped off paint, the towel holder was singing and the sink looked like someone had only given it a quick wipe and not cleaned it. For 250 sing dollars I was expecting a lot better. The rest of the hotel is in much better shape and the breakfast brunch buffet, though not included and a bit pricey at 23 sing dollars, was top notch. Because I believe cleanliness and proper upkeep is a must in a hotel room, I do not recommend this hotel and next time will spend a bit extra to stay at a nicer hotel Downtown. .

The Roxy held my bags for a week at no charge, which was great since I didn't have to carry my extra luggage to my stop-over in Indonesia. The location isn't fantastic if you want to see the sights, since it isn't near an MRT, but is very convenient for going to/from the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is near a big shopping mall and outdoor food vendors. There is a free airport shuttle, but it only runs from 7am-2am, which doesn't work for early morning flights. I would stay here again.

I was visit in mercure Roxy hotel because my husband branch office very near with this hotel.

The Grand Merucure Roxy is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore's famous quartiers. Quite close to the Airport, it is a nice place for people who are not in Singapore for the malls and the night life. The Chai Chee Technopark is in the vicinity and the area is quite open and uncluttered.

We enjoyed our stay in what seemed to be a less tourist dominated area of Singapore. Its location very close to East Coast Park and beach is a definate asset and made a change for us from Orchard Road.

I really like GRand Mercure because its very quite and near the airport, the breakfast buffet is real awesome, then the staffs are very polite and house keeping team are nice guys too.

+ Upon check in, I felt that the receptionist was not welcome me. There was no smile, no warm welcome. Then, I stayed club floor this time. But the receptionist did not explain the benefit of club floor until I asked to her about it. - The room was covere
