The receptionist located the wrong room for hotel occupant's name (incident happened on Thurs, 18th Oct during 5.45 pm - 6 pm) when guest approached the receptionist for contacting the guest of this hotel occupant; the guest for the hotel occupant was told that the hotel occupant is not in the room as there is no reply from the room. Fortunately the guest decided to wait, and had to wait for more than one hour in the hotel lobby, where after about one hour, to his surprise, the person he wanted to meet (the hotel occupant) came down .. the hotel occupant, together with his family, was very much in the room of the hotel since 5 pm waiting for the guest, but DUE to RECEPTIONIST's worng tel call, guest could not alert the hotel occupant at all for more than one hour ... VERY POOR service standards indeed ... one should not rely on such hotels for specially important and critical business ...

Overall the hotel is nice and have a very pleasant environment. However, the front counter service and the bellboy service are very poor and the staff are rude to the customers especially we tourists from the way they speak to us that indicate they show no respects for their customers. A lot of improvement shall be done.

If you are planning a short Singapore Stopover on a budget, avoid this place. It is a long way from the city centre and you will blow your budget either on taxis to get to/from downtown, or on food and beverage service in the hotel (breakfast for $24?). The first room we were offered smelled so badly of smoke that I am surprised it was released for service by housekeeping - I have been in burned out buildings that didn't smell that bad.

Yes, the shuttle bus to the Orchard Rd, stopping in front of the DFS store is a great convenience.

Good location for a quiet & away from the bustling atmosphere. The shuttle bus make you accessible and so convenient to shopping area. We could just have anything we need.

stay somewhere else, not worth a penny non smoking room smell like an ash tray, sheets on the bed with holes in it, 5 TV channels, worst room service breakfast you can ever have, only one pillow per bed, no internet in the rooms, what else I can go for more but limited space

The Copthorne Orchid provides top-rate accomodations at a reasonable price. Located in a residential area, the hotel is spacious and quiet. To access Orchard Street, there is a free shuttle as well as taxis. Rooms were to our liking and the hotel amenties (including multiple restaurants, koi pond, spa, pool, and fitness center) were impeccable. The spa was very reasonable (believe an hour massage was roughly $30 USD) and a great addition to my trip. Great staff too!
