Would I recommend this hotel? If you are concerned about location, this hotel is excellent. But i could get the same hotel product elsewhere for much cheaper. Would I stay here again? Not really, for the point above. Singapore has very cheap taxis comparatively, it will cost you less than $SG10 from one end to another, so for me location is not that important. The product itself is much more important, and I did notice that the hotel is building a Premier Wing right next door to be completed in a few years time. Maybe after that is complete they will look at updating the hotel but until then, no thanks. If looking at the SIA Stopover package, look at the Traders Hotel, in the same category so same price and in a better, more prestigious location.

Let's start with internet access at $27/day from a wired link in your room -- might be high for wireless access, but excessive for wired links in this high-tech city (of course, they're outsourcing the service to Malaysia, so who knows). Then, despite the service stating you'll have time remaining after checkout, you don't.

Well, checking in @ 7pm still couldnt get a room is beyond me. Then getting insulted by an aggressive lady who has no clue what it means to be a front desk manager kept me thinking the hospitality scene there in Singapore. No way to go back or even recommend anyone to this place. NEVER !

We stayed for 2 weeks in Jan-Feb 07. We were given an updated room (not the new wing of the hotel), which is relatively modern and clean. The bathroom, however, needs some work (cracked tiles along the sink and bathtub). Room size is decent. Excellent view towards Suntec City, Raffles City. And excellent location, opposite to Raffles Hotel and CHIJMES, close to Suntec City and Bugis, and we even walked to Orchard Road (CK Tang), Clarke's Quay, and Lau Pa Sak. About 1 block to MRT station, and 1 block from 2 hawker centers. Nice pools, though a little small and sometimes not enough deck chairs. Breakfast (if included) is a great deal, good variety (Western and local delicacies), and reasonable quality. Service is good overall, staffs are friendly. The only thing I don't like is having to pay extra for internet connection (cost up to S$20 per day). Otherwise, we were very pleased with our 2 week stay.

I found the Carlton Hotel to be a great place to stay, close by to an MRT stop, and Raffles City. The staff were lovely and professional, and the hotel has great facilities.

This hotel is just 3 minutes walk from the city hall metro station. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The people are all very friendly and efficient.

Hotel is ok but expensive. I had booked hotel rate including the breakfirst, but whne i checkin, the staff said they cannot confirm if breakfirst included or not, so they will charge it first and wait for 2nd day when the reservation staff comes to work. It took about 45 minuts to talk with them and finally they agreed when you became totally fed up. When I show them the reservation paper next day, they even no appologize for that.

Hotel fixed a booking error in lieu of sold out situation what I booked - Upgraded the rooms. 2 rooms were booked but only one room was reserved with 2 room price. I do not know where this error was coming from. Confirmation was - 2 rooms were booked, in stead of one room with two room price.
