Reception staff were always friendly. Hotel is an historic building, and has a nice atmosphere. Our room was upgraded to the suite, which was quite nice, although there were a few problems such as the toilet didn't flush properly and needed a few attempts to flush. Breakfast would have been better if they offered a continental breakfast. Hotel is located next to China Town which is fantastic during the Lunar New Year celebrations, although the location is not ideal for families, as it is in the main Bar and nightclub strip.

+ Proche d' une station de metro pour parcourir le reste de la ville. - the location of the hotel in a bad area of clubs

I was given room number 402 which was very very damp. The ceiling has a hole and was dropping dust. The walls were wet. Sitting on any chair, my trouser got wet at the buttock. Walking on the carpet, my socks got wet. Air condition blows directly into my face as the bed was set that way.Behind the bath room window was full of dust. I demanded a discount which the hotel gave me for the 2 nights in 402. I moved to room 205 but unfortunately it faces the front of the hotel which has many many night clubs. The loud music did not stop until way past 3 a.m. However, I have found that the service was very good especially in the breakfast room. General area of the hotel and room 205 are very clean. This hotel is charming but they must not rent out room 402 any more unless it is renovated first and if they install double glass windows in all the front facing rooms to keep out the noise from the clubs, it will be one of the a very good hotels to stay in Singapore.

+ La gentilesse de personnel. Les chambres confortables. - Location of air-conditioner in the room. By installing the air-con at the foot of the bed, cool air is blowing directly at the head. Very bad design.
