Overall the hotel was ok. Good location, nice quiet place to sleep at night compared to Georgetown. Bus stop about a 3 minute walk from hotel, so easy to get around. Breakfast buffet was just fine. Cleaning was poorest part of all. Dirty cups and bathroom weren't a enjoyment to find after a long day in the sun.

I was pleasantly surprised when we stayed at Naza Hotel. It was the low season so it was relatively quiet and peaceful. The view from our room was magnificent. You cannot get a room such as ours for the price we paid coming from America. The room although tiny was nicely decorated. It gave a touch of coziness to our stay there. I did not like the shower however. It was very basic. There should also be more towels. The breakfast leaves little room for imagination. Perhaps since the hotel seems unoccupied and there were just a handful of guests, the food was below par. The congee as were most of the other dishes, was cold, only when we were there did they light the chafing dish. However the view from the restaurant was amazing, the seating area around the pool was elegant. Service was wonderful. We did have a hard time getting any response from the front desk when we tried to request more pillows. All in all people greeted us warmly and we felt welcomed. I definitely will return. Naza Hotel is in close proximity to the night markets where delicious food is abundant and shopping is every woman's dream! Naza Hotel is truly a gem, not to be missed when you visit Penang!

My imigination towards the hotel is totally damaged the moment i arrived at the hotel. All the good things that I expect, based on my reading thro internet is now turning to be the bad experiences. The list below are some of the experiences that I have encountered during my 3 days 2 night stay at the hotel. 1. The parking bay for guess is very limited and guess to find themselve solving their parking problems. 2. There are so many numbers to dial for asistance ie. House Keeping No, Duty Manager No and etc. But when we made the call, all the nos were not functions except the reception no (Counter). So if you want to please the guess by placing all sort of wonderful nos, please make sure there are people to mann it or else please strike it off and do not make you guess confusing with your services. 3.We stay there for 3 days and on the 2nd day when they service the room, the staff have colleted the used towel without replace it with the new one. Can anyone imagine, we were only given the new towel at 5.30 pm after waiting so long from 11.50 am 4.The hotel only have 2 lift and the lift is really small. To make matters worst one lift has been designated for contractor used since the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment process. It could be all right in week days but in the peak period ie national holidays when so many guess staying at the hotel, it could be wise for the management to open both lift for the guess use. Frankly speaking, during my stay, using staircase is more efficient than lift. Beside the above, the hotel facilities is ok such as swimming pool, restaurant. The room that i stayed (Deluxe Room) is big and have a good view (direct seaview and pool) but the room maintenance is a bit out.

No body helping me checking in the room. When the door was unable to open up, I was being rejected from sending a person to help me until I insisted. Never stated that the room internet access is free of charge until upon checking in. I was being told that it's free of charge to access at hotel lobby, but the line was unable to hooked up after an hour of trying. Again I was asked to pay in order to access to internet. Finally, I was told that the free of charge line is not belongs to Naza Hotel. I was so disappointed with that, the counter told me this is not her problem but the management. The TV program was rather limited and bad in selection. The breakfast was very poor in taste and setting, but the service attitude was friendly and polite.

We found and chose this hotel based on other travellers reviews read on this site. We would like to add that the reviews were accurate and we found the hotel clean and comfortable with a spacious room on the 6th floor with a balcony giving a view of the ocean. The AC was easy to use and worked well, the room had a safe, fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The bathroom although a little small had modern fittings and was clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast included in the price was above average although certain hot items being served were cold, we much appreciated the fact the breakfast is served until 10.30am allowing you to get up at a reasonable hour after exploring the sights until late into the night. the pool was nice although a little busy but the seated terrace area made up for the small pool with a choice of seating, more than enough space and a superb view of the ocean. Service was efficient and on two occasions above average service was provided. On leaving the hotel one day we noticed a heavy downpour and thunder so we asked the hotel for an umbrella which they immediately provided for us. Unlike other hotels we stayed when entering the hotel the reception desk recognised us and gave us the room key I did not need to ask or inform them which room number we were staying; a thumbs up (after staying in numerous hotels i had no idea which room number we were staying and frankly I have no desire to remember room numbers surely it is the job of the hotel staff.) two reasons among others of why I rate this hotel above average. My only downside of the hotel is it's location. a quiet area very little noise without the hustle and bustle of the city. To get to most of the downtown attractions you need to take a taxi starting from 20 - 30 ringgit per trip quite a distance from town alternatively there is a bus although it was very crowded and time consuming almost 40 - 45mins each way at a cost of 2 ringgit. So if you want a centrally located hotel better to choose a hotel in georgetown. If you have transport or are happy to take taxis then i would strongly recommend this hotel, on it's above average service, comfortable room and excellent value for money rates. My wife and I would certainly stay there again.
