The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. They had tried their best to accomodate to our needs during our stay. The location was fairly good, as there were plenty of eateries along the Esplanade and en route to the famous Gurney Drive.

I go here every year and it always gets better. It is safe and the staff are friendly and helpful. All around great. I will always go back as I my mother is from Malaysia and so far this has been the best hotel yet in Penang.

Very good value for money hotel. It is situated very near to the cafes and restaurants of Gurney drive. It is about a 15 min walk to Gurney plaza.

Been to this hotel several times. Very reliable. Older, now, but well-maintained. Rooms are excellent. There is no-charge wireless Internet access in the lobby (cable in the rooms). Breakfast is quite good. Taxes service charges annoying, but...

This was the 3rd time I stayed there. The alternatives were Traders or shangri La in Batu Ferangi. Former is in a bit of a crowded area and latter is way off
