this was a stop-over for me while on my way to the perhentian islands. My plane landed in kuala terrenganau and luckily we had booked this place in advance (minimum 1 month)so even though it was for only one night, it was great. My girlfriend and I easily found a taxi and it was only about 15 min. away from the airport (around 25rm=8 usd.) so pretty cheap Id say. then the hotel gave us two options to go to the jetty in kuala bessut, take the bus cheaper of course ,or taxi. we opted on the taxi because time was an issue, so if your gonna take a taxi to the bessut jetty from kuala terrenganau expect to pay round 120rm, which still is a great price for an air con 1.5 hour long taxi ride right to the pier. anyway, the hotel breakfast was great, and they have a nice little eating place next door, and around the back right near the beach. we were very pleased with our stay, if we go to perhentian island again we'll fly into kota baru, but for any reason we find ourselves in kuala terrenganau, we will be staying at the contenintal for sure! good rooms too, clean, and a great view of the south china sea, were able to watch a beautiful sun-rise, and the pool is quite nice too, located on the third floor.enjoy your stay!

Smiling and helpful staff make a difference and we (family of 6) appreciated this hotel. The rooms were clean and breakfast was relatively good.

This was an enjoyable experience. I went to Terengganu with my Family during school holiday. We have really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The bell boy was polite and helpful. Front Desk was friendly. The room was clean, tidy and nice. My children love to swim in the swimming pool. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The location was great, it only less than 10 mins to the China town, Market and local specilities stalls.

Overall a great location, great freindly staff, breakfast was OK. Only issue we booked a non smoking room and double bed, but got 2 x singles and a room which smelt of smoke. However, a good spot to stop over before and after visiting redan island

The room and service is average but the beach is horrible. The beach is dirty. Only the location is near the town.

This is the worst hotel we've ever been in. The bellman were unhelpful and would not help carry the luggages. The 2 rooms we stayed in were not clean. Both rooms had bed bugs or some type of itchy creatures that caused us to stay up at night. The bed sheets were old, and the conforters were torn and looked like they had not been washed for quite some time. There were mold between the bath tub tiles, and the shower curtain had yellowish residue that looked like it had not been cleaned or replaced for months. We had never experienced such thing in a hotel. My children like swimming, but we would not dare go inside the swimming pool after seeing the rooms like that. Luckily we stayed only for two days, but we would never stay in this hotel again; we paid 225RM for one night, the room doesn't worth even half of that.

I likes the location which is nearer to the beach but the services are awfullll! The room service ask us to relocate the bed by our self with rude word;...The breakfast; During the festive season, we have to que to get up to the coffee house just to take the breakfast(almost 30 minutes waiting)...the plates and bowls are dirty...not enough food prepared....before that Ive requested to deduct the breakfast price from the room rates...but was rejected... Lift systems are very frustrated...tooo slowwww...Swimming pool water systems not circulated...and the rates are confusing! In the internet mentioning RM175....but when we get there..RM195(18Feb2007). The hotel has 200 rooms but the the parking space are very limited! we have to park the car outside of the hotel area...

I stay here almost every fortnight and the room is always clean. I don't have any problem whatsoever with this hotel. Breakfast is not too bad. No long queues whatsoever. Very clean. Very near to the beach. Only the parking space is limited.
