Excellent location and good breakfast but facilities and rooms look dated and tired even after refurb. Staff polite but not really very helpful. Better hotels in the area for the same price or less.

If there is one word to use here, it is disappointing. Hotel is nothing special, and there is far better avaliable out there in the same area for the same price, if not less. Pay attention to what the reviews say about late night noise fromt he club next door - completely true and the hotel has no interest in doing anything about it. Other events include not having power in our room for 4 hours- it took 3 phone calls and then a trip down to speak to reception before they would do anything. Our toilet broke, again required many phone calls before anything done. Used the dry cleaning service, who overcharged me and made a mess of my suit. I could list many incidents during our stay. Of course these things can happen, but the poor attitude of the staff and lack of any want to make your stay pleasant make this hotel a poor choice. It is clean and functional, but not what you would expect. Avoid if possible or you get an amazing deal.

I was very dissapointed with the Federal . I dont know how it achieved 4 Star rating . We had no running water for 24 hours . The attitude of the staff was also dissapointing . I would advise anyone staying in KL to stay somewhere else .

Older hotel that still has a high level of quality. Good service and a great location. Big pool that gets a lot of sun.

This is a dump, old, tired and not very clean. Staff don't know how to please and seem incapable of organizing even the simple things like checking in. Stains on carpets, chips out of furniture and burn marks on upholstery. It should be regarded as a very low budget 3 star hotel, not a 4 star.
