My room was very "seedy" looking ... badly in need of updated furniture, carpet and fresh paint. But the bed was comfortable. The TV did not work until someone came up to fix it. There was a leak under the bathroom sink which left a large puddle of water on the floor under and behind the sink. The breakfast was adequate, but not exceptional. Although the staff at the desk were very polite and helpful, I don't think I would choose this hotel again.

I would not stay in this hotel again as they really overcharge everything because of the F1 and the price definately is nothing compared to the service/facilities/etc. Check-in / reception very poor and very slow. Upon check-in they didn't have room next to my parents room available, but they said they would have after the room had been cleaned. 12 hours later I still didn't get the room next to my parents room. Room key never works, you have to go back downstairs to re-activate. Aircon cannot be adjusted, it is on and cannot even be switched off. Swimming pool is small and very boring. Nobody there, if you call for towels or drinks it will take a very long long time. Taxi sevice or transfers overcharged big time! Rooms were reasonable size, but upon check-in I had dirty sheets. No newspaper, I had to ask for it. All by all, not very good and the rates during the F1 are ridiculous! It is even cheaper to get from town to the circuit (1,5 hour)than from this hotel to the circuit (only 10 mins!) of you follow the hotel services. The only plus was the lobby/restaurant. As there is no bar we had to sit there for some beers (very expensive), but the personnel there was very friendly and did there best to get you what they could. Very limited choices. And one more remark as being the F1 hotel closest to the circuit and they like to advertise as being the F1 hotel, it is a bit strange that they don't even have the channel so they can show the race on TV. Very limited Channels on the TV in the room as well.

We stayed here after landing at KL airport at midnight, the taxi was only RM39 as it's only about 20 mins from the airport (ensure you pay for taxi's at the kiosk as we were pestered by illegal taxis who charge more and charge a rate. The taxi vouchers sold at the kiosk ensure you pay the correct rate and the drivers do not handle your money). The room was clean and large but very basic. The staff at the hotel were nice and breakfast was ok however the location of the hotel is poor as there is nothing around other than residential apartments and a couple of local shops. The rooftop swimming pool was also closed. We had a seperate 2nd nights stay booked here however we cancelled the booking and stayed instead at the Mandarin Oriental in KL centre.

If you are looking for a low-cost hotel near the airport, then this hotel will do. There's nothing much you can do in the area since it is far from shopping malls. We found it ok for our need because we just stayed there to rest and wait for our early flight the following day. Food is good, we tried the Steamboat (Plenty for 2 persons). The restaurant staff were very friendly and patient, they even played with my 4yo son so we can eat. Lighting was kind of dark. There were no slippers provided and no drinking water. No Toothbrush and no toothpaste. We cannot find their shuttle at the LCCT so we took a coupon taxi going to the hotel but they provided a shuttle (@RM15) going to the airport.

This hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at while on vacation. It reminded me of the rent buy the hour places you get when you 18 years old and have no where else to bring your girlfriend. The area was also run down and quite frankly frightening to a westerner. I can say 2 good things it was close to the airport (but would have preferred to sleep in the waiting area of the airport and save my 75 bucks) and I was only there 1 night. I actually thought I would be more comfortable sleeping in the lobby of the hotel at least the leather couches looked clean. The room smelt of cigarettes and the carpet was dirty and had burns on it the bed even smelled. Overall I give this hotel a -3.

After an initial misunderstanding concerning the second room booked as a single for our grandson we were very happy with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. If we visit KL again we would be pleased to stay again at the empress Sepang.

First, this is not airport hotel, airport hotel should be NEARBY the airport. Drive to hotel from airport took about 15 minutes by taxi. Hotel is a middle of some local suburb. Hotel was quite musty and shabby and so were the room. View from the room window was direct to the opposite wall. Awerall, whole hotel was a BIG disappointment, except the breakfast that were magnificent! It's better to book hotel from KL city and stay there in some nice hotel, because the train takes you back to the airport from KL center in 28 minutes by KL express.

We found the Empress Sepang to be the most poorly serviced and inhospitable staffed hotel in our stays in Asia. The staff were rude especially the male members towards my wife. We were terribly disappointed with the location...travellers beware the KLIA area is large, the Empress Sepang was a twenty minute drive from Airport...I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay there again even if the earth was covered in lava.
